I got home around 12.30 lastnight and gave it a quick go. All worked fine for me, guess at that time of night though not many people were hammering it.

Weirdly, I was able to watch the two movie channels live despite not having any of the multiroom stuff on my account. Couldn't watch any of the other live channels though as expected barring Sky News.

The live stuff worked great though, no buffering/breakup on the highest quality setting which was a surprise as our broadband isn't particularly quick. Picture quality was surprisingly good too.

The on demand stuff worked well too, just tried a couple of random films and both played quickly with no problems. Sky One seemed to have a weird lack of content though, no main big US shows just gameshow and documentary stuff.

Be interesting to see if it holds up ok tonight when more people are hammering it again but first (brief) impressions were very positive for me.

Same for Sky Player at the moment. It's still not available to everyone/me. :(

All working fine at the moment for me..

If you go onto Sky Player on PC and go into account settings, there's a bit for promo codes.

If you enter

XBOX1MONTHFREE

You get to watch the live channels free for a month (in line with your sky subscription package) - works pretty well.

Just watching Clone Wars on Demand and it's working great, no delay, no buffering and decent enough picture. Awesome stuff. :)

If you don't cancel this then when one month elapses they WILL charge you £9.95 a month until you do.

I've not setup any payment stuff on the Sky Player which it implies you need to to subscribe even if you have a normal Sky Subscription though I may be wrong so hopefully they can't charge once this expires. Having said that they say you can pay £5 a month for Sky Player Multiroom which lets you watch whatever channels you're subscribed to on the sky player live, depending on how much use I get from it this next month I might be tempted as won't really miss an extra fiver.

How blooming brilliant is this?

I apreciate that not all people are in my position but basically, for no extra cost, I have SKY TV in my appartment now. It's amazing really. The fact that I can pick and choose what I want to see only adds to it. Watched Liverpool v Scum and then some sky news, followed by some Sky sports 1 then onto a movie. FOR FREE! Thank the lawd for my folks! :D

I don't understand how it could be "free" at all? You're paying for the Sky subscription, right? :fp:

My brother's got the full SKY package. Now, how to get his details off him, without him suspecting.

Answers on a postcard please.

I still don't have this on my Xbox. What a strawberry floated up launch!

Drunken, why don't you just ask your brother if you can use it? Offer him £10 a month or something.
