Wait a minute, wait a minute...my parents several miles away have Sky. You're saying that I can use their SKY customer ID for my own personal gain?

This is working now.

Seems good.

Pretty sure you can yes, Sky even say on their website "use Sky from a different property"

Theres also a code you can enter to get free live content for a month (that otherwise requires you to have multiroom or pay £5 a month for Sky Player).

This seems a bit convoluted, although I guess it was always going to be. I'll have to read on up, thanks chaps.

It does seem a bit complicated but its really not that bad.

For example assuming you subscribe to the variety pack on Sky you can currently watch the episodes that have already aired on Sky of the following things for free...

Lie to Me Season 2
Bones Season 5
NCIS: Los Angeles
Stargate Universe
Fringe Season 2
Weeds Season 3

...along with various other stuff.

To me being able to watch that stuff through 360 (assuming it works just like Sky Player when its actually available to everyone) is a good thing. Complaining that I don't also get Live stuff or absolutely everything they show on Sky without having to pay some more...seems a little harsh to me.

At the moment, none of those things are up on the Xbox Sky Player. You can only seem to watch "Sky-developed" programs, like "Are you Smarter than a 10-year old?", on it. I'm assuming they're going to add more, as there is little point in the Xbox Sky Player having less content than the PC one, but it's bizarre that the initial launch is so bare.

It's on the Video Marketplace. Well, that's where I saw it last. Has it been taken down?

You aren't exactly being clear there. That stuff is available on Sky Player, just not on the 360 version yet I think is what you are saying.

Yeah, that's it.

The reason might have something to do with it not actually being properly available to everyone yet.

Nope, not on mine yet either. I doubt it'll go out until the beginning of next week now.

Most people who have it are those who downloaded the app when it first came out.

This needs more attention. Can some of you boffins confirm that I can do this. I could cancel my Virgin subscription and use my parents account and pay part of their bill!

You don't get everything you realise, the stuff on Sky Player is limited.

Watched Arsenal vs Spurs on here earlier on. It was on a 3-4 minute delay but the picture was very good.

20 times, 20 times, Man United...

Set this up at a friends house, the choice of Movies on demand is fantastic, but I cannot set it up on mine. The option is just not there on the Marketplace :(

Does this feature have any subtitles?

This is huge important factor for me.

This. All the research I've embarked on, not one article has mentioned subtitles. :|

Seriously Seven... you'll be better off getting a freeview box of your own. I have sky at my flat but I rarely watch it.
