I am so up for this. Haven't seen Slayer in years and would love to catch them live before they call it a day.

Also love a bit of Obituary.

I love Reign in Blood with every fibre of my being. Their stuff after that is varying quality. When they are on form, they are really on form, War Ensemble :datass: :datass: :datass:

Seasons in the abyss was their last 5 star album. Divine intervention has some banging tunes on it too but i dont like the production and i still prefer Lombardo to Bostaph. Weird this should come up tho cause i havent listened to Slayer in probably 15 years or so but put on Seasons when i was at the gym last night :D
I saw them in 2004 i think, such a great band but yeah their modern stuff is a bit iffy and realistically they should have called it a day when Hanneman died. Reign in Blood & Seasons in the Abyss are my favourites, itll be sad when they finally call it quits. Shoutout to Decade of Aggression too, strawberry floating love that album.

Decade of Aggression is pretty damn good and I agree on Seasons and Reign being their best. Never got on with South of Heaven.

Just seen Anthrax are supporting as well. That's a thrash band still releasing decent stuff, a rarity.

It just never grabbed me for some reason. I should be all over it.

I'm a bit of a doom metal fan so South's slower, chunkier riffing appealed. Reign in Blood is still their best though.

Slayer and Anthrax are strawberry floating lit, could quite happily never see Lamb of God again, Obituary I've never heard of.

Are there UK dates yet?

Wicked, thanks - last I saw it was just the Germany dates leaking.

London on a Saturday? Would be rude not to. Unless my dad really wants to go to the Dublin date, but I doubt he will.

All over this. :)

No prob.

Also check out some Obituary.

"Cause of Death" is arguably one of their best albums.

Would like to go to the Dublin show. I haven't seen either Anthrax or Slayer, strangely enough.

The first mosh pit I ever went into was a Slayer moshpit at Download 2005 and it changed my world.

Christ illusion and God Hates Us All were good albums out of their more recent releases. Not quite at Reign/Seasons/South levels of classic.

Not overly fussed about seeing them on this tour. I've seen them so many times in the past, and I saw Anthrax last year.

Well uhh tickets went on sale today... and they’re sold out (for standing) already. But if a shocker because Slayer aren’t really that big, and I thought £65 for London was taking the piss a little. Annoyingly, I was waiting until payday to pick up tickets, so i’ll have to play the “refresh ticketmaster occasionally” game until I get lucky. :(

Standing sold out already? strawberry float.

Couldn't get out of work to buy a ticket. I was thinking it would be Megadeth levels of audience, wasn't sold out whenever they played that place. I have massively misjudged this.
