Shopto have listed this for release this year

http://www.shopto.net/search/?platform=&newsearch=Sleeping+dogs

I never played much of this originally so if they release a remastered edition with improved visuals and all the DLC then I'll day one this for sure

I already own it and can play it maxed out and own all the DLC too. Good game but not exactly one I'd buy again even if the PC version blew the PS3/360 version out of the water with better visuals.

Wouldn't it just be better to make a new game? I enjoyed the original and would be rather partial to another outing.

I dont know why, but that sounds strawberry floating incredible.

I guess that remaking the game for game starved console owners is likely to be more profitable than making a new one.

I'd much prefer a sequel than a remake. The first one looked good enough as it was on PC.

Are we really going to recycle the same old comments every time a remake/remaster is announced? Like "Why don't they just make a new one", or "I already played it" etc. No offense but not everyone has played every game. Offering them on new consoles is a chance to bring some new fans to the series. Any time one of these is announced for a series you like you should rejoice, it means any extra profit, fans and anticipation the remakes garner will only help guarantee us a sequel, which in this situation is probably already well into development by a completely separate team anyway.

Rant over.

Assuming the Shopto info is real, the inclusion of a PC version of "Sleeping Dogs HD", (hopefully placeholder) suggests more than a simple up-res.

No no I wasn't questioning if it does look better, I've shared enough screenshots of SD during its release to know the PC version with the hi-res texture pack looks miles better than the console versions.

I really enjoyed what I played of it first time round. If they put it out cut-price with extra content then I'd probably pick it up again

It doesn't need a remake. I only played it through again a few months ago, its hardly worth the effort!

The original's been out for less than two years. Ridiculous.

And was free on Xbox live or ps plus at one stage. So I guess people who really wanted to play it have done.

This is one remaster that I don't get.

I think this has a chance of biting Square in the arse. They just can't seem to get things right with this game which is strange as it's a bloody good game and could be a very good series if they did it right.

I'd buy this again, because I strawberry floating LOVED this game.

Only GTA like game better than this is GTA5 in my opinion.

Hopefully the price is right. I wouldn't buy it for the same as TLOU. No way.

But I think £30 would be the sweet spot.

The Last of Us was barely out for a year before the remastered version came along.
