Actually I don't think the ledge is broken, but the lightning conductor is definitely there.

The other things i love are the newspaper clippings about the mansion being destroyed at the start and you realise Doc is actually living in his old garage now. Also the pictures of Edison etc above his little bed are above his mantle piece in his mansion.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and you can see its Eric Stoltz jumping into the delorean if you pause it, plus in the skateboard chase you can see its Stoltz skating away rather than Fox (very briefly).

Pulp Fiction is a good example.

Butch keying Vincent's car.

Butch killing Vincent with Marsellus Wallace's gun, because Marsellus is out getting donuts. It's the reason why Vincent doesn't react when he hears the door to Butch's apartment opening. He assumes it's Marsellus. Why is Marsellus on the job in the first place? Because Jules has retired.

Also, alot of the characters in Tarantino's films inhabit the same universe.

The Vega brothers.
Nurse Bonnie
Jimmie and Larry Dimmick.

Didn't we have a thing where I refused to accept that it was Marsellus's gun?

From imdb

Revealing mistakes
In the final scene of the movie, the child playing Vern Brown makes a beckoning gesture with his hand, then points toward his crotch. It's with his right hand, just visible past Doc Brown. The boy was mimicking the unit director, who was directing the camera to pan then zoom.

Oh and still on the subkect of BTTF, the tramp you see is mayor Red Thomas form 1955, and its Marty's fault he ends up that was due to giving Goldie the idea of becoming mayor.

Wow, I like this thread, Back to the Future and Pulp Fiction are two of my most favourite films ever. The thought that has gone into story is part of what makes them great. Back to the Future 1 is the best example of a film setting up the story and plot without you even noticing.

In Vertigo, Scottie follows Kim Novak around and they're always moving through San Francisco downhill.

I doubt the Die Hard one is true. So Ellis went up to Hans and said that in exchange for information about McClane, they were to give him cocaine? strawberry float off. The terrorists were just making him feel comfortable by giving him a can of coke, like he was their buddy, a false sense of security etc. I highly doubt he asked for cocaine.

I just found out about this one the other day. Look what the T-Rex does with his right hand as it looks to the right at the basketball net at about 7 seconds!

He's doing a dribbling motion! :o

Twelve Monkeys is also full of gooseberry fool like this. One rather obvious one I didn't notice until my fourth viewing: the lady next to the terrorist on the plane at the end is one of the court members from the future.

There are loads on Minority Report, like in the place he is meant to kill the guy he opens the front door and when he closes it the door is hinged the other way and the handle is on the other side,

or int he car as it goes down the side of the building he kicks the window out and in the next shot he is standing on the same window

How is that a small thing? It's pretty integral to the ending.
