PostSNES games you got addicted to
by Scotticus Erroticus » Fri Sep 26, 2008 4:12 pm

Return of the Jedi (brilliant game, fighting the emperor was tricky but extremely fun)
Starfox (I was playing that for about 10 years on a decent basis)
Pagemaster (it was utter pish, but had a certain charm)
Street Fighter II (obvious)

I have never been in the same room as a SNES, let alone played on one.

Street Fighter II Turbo
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario World
F-Zero
Axelay
Chrono Trigger

Those games spent more time in my Snes than any others. I only got rid of my Snes in 2005(got at launch too). I had over 220 games loads of great Jap imports too.

International Superstar Soccer, Killer Instinct and Super Mario World were probably the three Snes games that devoured most of my time back in the day.

I had an unhealthy addiction to Super Mario Kart. The game would make me violent to the stage controllers would be flung and brothers attacked. Got to the stage where my mum banned us (me and my brothers) from playing it so hid the game. Though one day during a game of hide and seek I climbed on top of a cupboard only to find the long-lost cartridge.

Other SNES games I was addicted to playing included Mario World, one of the Street Fighters, Plok, one of the Bomberman games and Animaniacs.

Super Metroid, Mario World, All Stars, Yoshi's Island, Zelda, Secret of Mana, Unirally, Mickey Mouse & the Magical Quest (one of the most underrated platformers ever IMO), Kirby's Ghost trap (Puyo Puyo clone), Probotector, Pilotwings, Starwing, Mario Kart, F-Zero, R-Type, Castlevania IV, Zombies, Aladdin, and the best horizontal shoot-em-up ever (which you'll know if you recognise the image in my signature).

I still have my SNES - along with 132 games.
