You'd think Sega would be all over this but no, mobile with touch controls.

Disgusting.

Game site currently has a kinda fake looking page with Mario smashing a hammer (hmmmmm not sure that's even legal).. I reckon it's fake holding because they don't want to admit they're out of stock / creating false demand.

Thought this would be £50 again, but for £80, I can buy 2-3 actual SNES carts of decent games to play. So I'm not so sure. I don't care if I can resell it - if I don't want one I shouldn't buy one (that's scalping imo) and I won't anyway because "I won't get another chance" etc. That's just £80 spent on a replicate of something I can get properly. So mixed feelings about this.

Is anyone buying one who already has a SNES?

Me. Pre-ordered 2 just in case. SNES is my favourite console, and I cannot get enough of it...

It's a good selection, but it's a shame to see some classics missing including Pilotwings, Chrono Trigger, and my favourite non-Nintendo game of all time, The Legend of the Mystical Ninja.

Me. A few of those games aren't available easily/cheaply for the SNES in the UK - I'd like to play them as they were originally intended rather than through a virtual console port.

Well strawberry float, I tried pre-ordering one so I can make up my mind but by the time I'd strawberry floated around getting into my account (verification code bollocks went to spam twice and then expires after 15 minutes - what's the strawberry floating point? Is someone going to hack into my email in 15 minutes? And turns out it was trying to register me with a new account despite already having one with that e-mail address. Which you also can't update, because it goes to a dead page.) I got this

You currently have 0 items in your basket

Sorry, the product Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition is now out of stock so it has been removed.

I had one while a guest, though.

GAME are a pile of gooseberry fool.

That's just ANOTHER updated version of AtGame's console which is an awful piece of gooseberry fool, the sound and picture quality are terrible.

It's been updated to include a HDMI output at least which is better than what's been offered before.

Good, hopefully the sound isn't cheesegrated.

It also says the controllers are 2.4Ghz wireless instead of infrared (which barely works). But it's only 720p.

Amazon pre-orders already gone :|

I'll try to pre-order one, but a little disappointed. Can't argue with the quality of the titles included, but lacking some of my favourite games (no Sunset Riders or Donkey Kong Country 2&3 is a real shame), and 21 seems a very stingy amount. But hopefully it gets hacked like the NES Mini did so this can be fixed relatively easily

Now I want a Mini-Gamecube

Edit- No Pocky and Rocky either! Boo!

Going by this picture, it seems the pads use the Wii connector again and the ports are hidden behind a flap this time:

Pre-ordered one at Smyths. Would've loved Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI to be on there also but that's a great list of games.

Thinking about the game selection and the other titles that folk would like to see, am I right in thinking that the included titles are all Nintendo-published ones? I expect that if titles such as Zombies Ate My Neighbours were to be included, Nintendo would have to agree a deal wth third party publishers. Branded character games are tricky, too, as often the original deals have long since expired.

I guess just such a deal has been struck with Capcom for SF II and Ghouls & Ghosts.
