It's definitely not an intuitive wall jump. I beat it on retropie last summer so I don't fancy trying it again but it feels like gooseberry fool until you unlock the screw attack

I've done it before playing on an emulator too but this time I could only get half way up this time.

It also floats me off how you can't check all of your maps so far, only the one you're in. So I've been trying to find the grapple beam thing because I know I need that as well as the gravity suit next, but i can't call all my maps up to look for the gaps, so I've got to aimlessly move between them to spot bits. Only now do I realise I should be in nofair (I think) and I've been missing the entrance all evening because of the broken water tube.

And cheeky devlin just started hyperventilating.

Maybe try it on one of your other SNES Minis? Might be easier.

Seriously though the Wall Jump in Super Metroid isn't the easiest. They definitely improved it for Fusion. Honestly I'm not a big fan of the SNES Mini version of SM. Far too much slowdown for my liking, so I wouldn't be surprised if the timings are different from version to version.

Later games definitely have some QOL improvements that would be nice in Super, such as the map being a bit better, but I'm familiar enough with the game now that I don't even notice them.

Check out some of our stuff!

Yeah, it's hardly controversial to suggest that it's missing out on improvements made in later games. The one that annoys me the most is pushing Select to change your missiles/bombs/grapple.
Wall jumping's easy though

First time I've actually finished supe metriod. Clear time was 6.35, it felt like a lot longer than that though.

Dat Nintendo reference item percentage.

In all seriousness, probably have it up for sale for £55 later.
It has two of those controller extension cables included too.

Anyone on the fence, buy lewis' at that price. I've played mine far more than I expected and it feels like playing a real console rather than an emulator.
