Ok so it looks like I'm going to end up with 3, easy enough to take the one from GAME back, but I think I'll keep a spare just in case.

I was out of town at the time so missed the announcement. I preordered from Gamestop.ie a few hours later but I have yet to receive an email that it's being shipped. It will cost me €97.49 including P&P roughly £85. I'm almost tempted to cancel it and way for more at Amazon or put the money towards my Switch fund.

People seem to think it'll be tinker-able like the NES Mini.

I don't wanna be that guy but if you are going down a tinkering route a raspberry pi + an 8bitdo Bluetooth SNES pad is superb for 2D emulation.

I think my SNES mini will get plugged into my PC monitor just because I can't cope with short wired pads. I'm not sitting on the floor.

Very excited to add more games to this once I've played some of the ones installed.

I've cancelled my Nintendo order, and kept my Amazon order. Amazon state it will be delivered on Friday, where as Nintendo say 'estimated dispatch Friday'. Couldn't be bothered with the hassle of trying to sell the 2nd one, and after PayPal and eBay fees, it's probably not worthwhile doing.

Nintendo tend to do that and then dispatch on time anyway, in case anyone else is wondering.

Unfortunately the tracking number also reveals they're using Yodel.

Anyone else ordered from Tesco? I have and I've not heard anything. Paid for it at the time of pre-ordering too.

5 feet. On the original SNES they were 8 feet.

The NES Classic was only 3 feet.

Since the reset button on the console is (I think) needed to change games, I've got a long HDMI cable so I can have the console near me, and the controller cable should then be fine. Just an idea...
