I've got two pre-orders, one with Smyths Toys and one with Game. I don't really want to "pre-sell" in case one of them falls through, but come the time if I do get both I plan to offer the spare one here for the price I paid.

If you don't source one before that Lewis and are still looking come the time I'll be happy to put you top of the list.

This probably relates to the NES Mini too, but will plugging the USB cable into the TV also be enough to power the console, or does it need to be plugged into an Apple style USB power adapter?

Is it fine to use abroad or will it also require an adapter?

I'm curious how this seller has managed to get hold of 40+ of these things...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172847851558

He's already sold 37 pre orders. He has 100% feedback but not tons of it (only 24)

I imagine it's someone with trade connections - like the owner of an independent gaming store who has an official order from Nintendo, but has decided to sell them privately to make a quick buck.

What I can't understand is people paying £140 for this thing before it's even released, and when Nintendo have said there will be plentiful re-stocks...

Really? Like when they said there would be plenty of NES Mini stock last Christmas, or on Amiibo's that they say they don't want to make scarce but never manage to provide enough stock.

Its really perfectly understandable given Nintendo's recent history that people would be willing to pay even double the RRP to guarantee getting one.

Reggie Fils-Aime has told the Financial Times that you shouldn't pay more than $79.99 for one because there will be enough stock this year, so I guess he'll be held to that...

It'll be interesting to see how quickly this is restocked following launch in various countries, because at the moment it's very much sold out.

Honestly if this thing sells out nobody should feel a shred of guilt pirating those games

I'm sure I'll get one eventually, there were plenty of NES Minis in stores after the initial rush died down.

It's hard to feel guilty for pirating most of Nintendo's classic titles when they seem to go out of their way to make them impossible to get legitimately.

Hey Reggie, will there really be enough stock of the SNES Mini to go around?
