I think the real April fool is that he has 27 SNES Classic consoles, but is now trying to make us believe that he only bought two.

Don’t believe his lies.

I was confident because I thought Ad was like Chairman Mao mixed with Hitler, but it turns out he's just, I dunno, Mussolini or something.

Anyone still wanting one of these should perhaps try Sainsbury's (instore), my brother just got one about ten minuttes ago from our local branch.

Probably not nationwide but its worth a try.

Just dicked Draygon in Super Metroid. Was having real trouble getting places when I finally realised I'd switched off the high jump boots about 3 hours ago :fp:

I love the "secret" way of easily beating Draygon.

Just had my first ever go of metroid prime. Omg it's amazing.

It could have been released yesterday.

It's weird going back and playing these games, again. Street Fighter 2 seems to suffer from a load of slow down. The controller input can't cope with multiple inputs. Really want to sit down and play Metroid though.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

My playthrough of Super Metroid has me well in the mood for Metroid Prime, if only I had a system to play it on. I have no idea if there are plans to put it on the Switch.

I don't have a SNES Mini yet, but I picked up one of these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/8Bitdo-SFC30-Wireless-Bluetooth-Controller/dp/B01MEFZKHZ/ref=pd_sim_63_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=ZH8G0MRJZXGDW8VTWKV0

I already have the Famicom-style F30 Pro which is a very nice controller with a great D-Pad and face buttons, but the analogue sticks are a little small and I'm not a fan of the dual shoulder buttons (they're in-line - imagine cutting a SNES pad's L button in half for L1 and L2).

Zero complaints about the SFC30 pad- I'd say it's even better than the original. The D-Pad is perfect and the buttons have a satisfying extra click. After playing Samus Returns on the 3DS it's nice to play with a controller that doesn't feel like it's crippling me.

With a firmware update it now works with the Retro Receiver (if you can get one) so you can use it on the SNES Mini, and exit to the menu with a button combination. I'm going to try it on the Switch later as well.

It's the sort of pad I just keep picking up to press some buttons even when I'm not playing :shifty:

Yeah reset the console and go to the restore point bit at the bottom and you can rewind the gameplay to choose where to restart from.

strawberry float! To be fair, I'd still probably prefer not to use it where possible and go full classic, difficulty and all. :D

I'm honestly surprised the hacks aren't out yet. Come on, what's taking so long?
