[color=#000080]God damn, this. The scene with Bradley in the bedroom was brilliant.

Hexx, what would have needed to have been changed for, say, Ronnie to have done it? Not much I don't think.. Same for everyone else, except maybe Janine.. Could have easily had 10 different episode endings I reckon.

No - my point is they'll have already have shot the next 20-30 episodes after this one - so how could the cast not have known, when they've been filming the aftermath for 3-4weeks?

There was the occasional cock-up. Jack ballsed up right at the beginning, & there was a few camera wobbles but on the whole they pulled it off. The switch to the stunt double was pretty damn obvious though.

If you watch the next 20-30 episode you'll understand how wrong you are.

Brilliant thread on Digital Spy:

Complain to Ofsted...that was not live. Not all of it was

The jump was not live. No way could it have been. There was far too much slick editing. How many cameras do you think they had. Not one other camera was in shot of other.

BBC i think lied about it being live.

strawberry floating Ofsted! They're school inspectors

Huh.. BBC3 are showing showing some of the alternate endings, with both Max and Ryan admitting it was them. I assume it was rehearsal footage? :?

Of course. They'd film them so you can see which endings weren't used.

Quite enjoyed watching that, it was quite a tense, nervy bit of TV, me and my gf were constantly wondering who would cock it up. Jack Branning, how many times in 1 minute can you forget all your lines   :fp:

I had heard that because the girl who plays Stacey had flu, every scene she was in was pre-recorded. Not sure if that's true or not, but it is a little suspicious how for 25 minutes of the show the camerawork was Eastenders standard then the last 5 go handheld.

Pretty decent episode overall, the Bradley/Stacey stuff gave proceedings a proper tense feel. The opening 10 minutes of dialogue was utter guff though. I understand the need to recap for casual viewers (and people tuning in just to watch the live episode), but couldn't it have been handled with a bit more subtlety?

Nah, it'd be fairly straight forward. Stacey admitted to Max, and vice versa if it was Max. Ronnie to Roxy, Phil to Peggy, Janine to Ryan etc.. Only future scenes involving the potential murders need to be different, as only two people would know who did it. I reckon it'll be pinned on to dead Bradley so that no one ends up in jail.

Not that it's important or anything.

Exactly.

Like all soaps they'll tease it out and they'll likely insert some small scenes between Max and Stacey that they film over this weekend.

Did anyone watch Hollyoaks when they had Toby kill blond girls? That was the best of this sort. It was subtly inserted into newspapers and such in the background that blond girls were dying but never directly mentioned by the cast. Then it grew and grew and was eventually revealed to be Toby. You didn't know it was an actual storyline for months. All the deaths were to coincide with him rowing with his Mrs as well and it was so subtly done.

I remember that. From when I used to watch Hollyoaks. Was really well done. When you finally caught on you were like "zomg".

Hollyoaks always seem to be willing to experiment, I don't really watch it often, but the missus says there was an episode recently that was actually 6 months from now, like Flash Forward, but they never mentioned or explained it. It was just one episode that was a glimpse of the future and now they have people guessing as the plot twists and turns up to that point. Very cool.

Whenever I watch it I often joke that they've let students direct sections as they have some really oddball stuff going on for just a scene or two, it's probably the best thing about the show to be honest.

Could've been worse. You could have been in a pub watching Emmerdale...

Nah, the news story on BBC said she was okay to be there properly.
