Seriously. It was a fantastic E3. I don't normally say that.

I think all of the big 3 have had a good E3 so far, the vote here seems quite close too! The Xbox exclusives swung it for me last gen and swing it for me this E3, but I think everyone can find something to be happy about this year.

This is the first year in a while where I haven't watched any of the presentations (except Ubis and that hardly counts).

I've already said I think Sony had the strongest line up at their show but in all honesty, nothing that anyone showed really got me excited except for Batman (which I wasn't expecting).

Sony also have the advantage of essentially having the best version of any multiplatform release.

In real terms both Microsoft and Sony have loads of great multiplatform games plus a load of extremely non-essential looking exclusives.

I'm surprised to say that Nintendo won it for me this year. Sony had an impressive conference mind, and Microsoft should be praised for their focus. There wasn't much in the MS conference that actually interested me though. In fact the only one I can remember was the Halo collection, but that's not a system seller, and Halo 5 was just a CG trailer again. Sony had Bloodborne (albeit in CG trailer form), and footage from No Mans Sky, Arkham Knight and Far Cry 4. Bloodborne's the only game that would sell me the console out of that lot mind.

Then along came Nintendo. Almost everything they showed made me want to play them, and the snippit of Zelda was genuinely the most impressive thing I saw from any of the conferences. Their Treehouse thing has been excellent so far too, with a pretty in depth look at Captain Toad.

http://www.edge-online.com/news/sonys-e ... 4-victory/

Another confident display in which Sony trumped Microsoft’s efforts once more, then. PS4 shows no signs of relinquishing its lead over Xbox One anytime soon – and if Sony’s superiority continues like this for much longer, that lead could become all the more drastic by the time E3 2015 arrives.

http://www.edge-online.com/news/microso ... -new-xbox/

This year’s Xbox One showcase needed more exclusives, more specifics, more ambition and more of the unexpected. It’ll only take a little more of each from Sony for PS4 to claim another clear victory once again.

I was thoroughly bored by E3 this year - with the exception of Forza Horizon 2 - until Nintendo, who showed off a lot of interesting looking-stuff which made me actually pay attention to the Wii U. Sure i'll get Far Cry 4, No Man's Sky etc on PC, but may well get a Wii U soon, good job Nintendo.

Nintendo by a country mile!

Sony had some great content too, Microsoft had nothing outside of Scalebound that appeals to me.

Phil Spencer was great though, good to see a game guy in charge of a games company.

No company embarrassed themselves this year, unlike previous E3s. EA didn't have enough to show, and Microsoft didn't interest me much.

I'd order it as...

=1. Nintendo / Sony
2. Ubisoft
3. Microsoft
4. EA

Sony fans will say Sony and MS fans will say MS etc.

I watched Nintendo's live thingie and thought it was kinda rubbish to be honest. I dont know if its an age thing or what because I was a massive Nintendo fan boy growing up, I'm bored with Mario now. I still gonna get a Wii U second hand for the Zeldas.

Game of the show for me was obviously The Masterchief Collection, all 4 games and all the MP coming back (100 maps or so) is ridiculous value. This Generations Orange Box.

I think Sony and MS shows where neck and neck but as eurogamer article says, the fact they where even close is a tiny victory for MS after its horrific E3 briefing last year.

Nintendo, was very impressed by the presentation overall. Microsoft a close second, cos they actually showed games, lots of them and thats all anyone should do at an E3 press conference.

Nintendo have redefined E3 coverage with the Treehouse@E3 stuff. I guarantee that next year, Sony and Microsoft will be doing it.

Truly though, gamers are the winners here. Best E3 in years.

For me, the most significant announcement was that PS4 owners will soon be able to upload their captures direct to YouTube. Now I know why I spent £400 on it.

I would say that Nintendo won it, which is a surprise for me.

1) Nintendo
2) Sony
3) MicroSoft
4) UbiSoft
5) EA

All three platform holders did their job very well. It's a massive improvement from Nintendo and MicroSoft, and it's hard for Sony to better what they did last year.

Feel EA is a bit too stiff suit in their presentations. But what do I really expect from a company that's famous for it's annual games? Even I only got a bit "interested" in PGA Golf and ME4, there's nothing from them that makes me jump up and notice.

Nintendo smashed it with their direct and the treehouse stuff.

All hail Reggie and our based Nintendo overlords.

The Treehouse really changed my mind. The Sony and MS conferences were good, but nothing particularly special. Nintendo had the most actual gameplay to show for unannounced exclusives and many of them look brilliant.

The Treehouse totally converted me on Mario Maker and I was always going to try out Captain Toad but it makes it look like something which is obviously not a sequel to 3D World but is the next best thing.

To be fair I've not seen the Nintendo one yet so only voting on the Microsoft and Sony conferences.

I've voted Microsoft mainly because they've now made me want to get a Xbox One in the near future which after getting my PS4 I thought would never happen! (Damn you Crackdown)

Nintendo made me want a Wii U.

I'm still have no interest in the PS4 or XBone.
