mate if she experiences these things when young she will enjoy them but not go nuts, it is only by prevent exposure to things that people go over the top when it because available later.

Little one is now able to sit up on her own, of course I looked away for 2 seconds last week and she took a header into the floor with a toy in her gob. There was blood. Thankfully she calmed down after a few minutes and the blood stopped (at least we found out shes definitely not a haemophiliac!) so she was back to her old self for the rest of the day.

I honestly think we hit the jackpot with her, she never cries or fusses for no reason, if she gets cranky, feed her, change her or give her a different toy and shes fine. She sleeps 11 hours a night, every night, never wakes in the middle or anything. We have her in her own room now and shes just as good, last night she was still awake at 9 so I decided to see what would happen if I just put her into the cot, so I brought her up, put her in and left the room. She went to sleep and didnt wake until after 8 this morning, no fussing, no crying, no wanting to stay awake, just lay there and dropped off.

Also, getting the Finding Nemo bouncer was the best investment I ever made, she was in it for about an hour yesterday, just bouncing and kicking the gooseberry fool out of the turtle and the seahorse. This parenting gooseberry fool is east so far, Im just waiting for her to change and be a little monster for the next few years!

We have had much the same experience. Bug has slept great for the most part with some issues with teething flares recently but mostly all good.

We are at the moving about stage, she refuses to crawl but sort of wiggles across the room and is able to pull herself up and walking arouns furniture, walls etc. using the thing for stability. Have had a few times where she has been left for a minute and suddenly you hear clangs as she is pulling saucepans off the rack thing in the kitchen as she has wandered round the walls to there.

Got a safety gate coming today to go in the living room doorway to pen her in

Don't take too much notice of books and what other peoples kids are doing either. My wife has been worried that he wasn't clapping yet (he's only 10 months old!) as she read in a book that they should be doing it at 10 months. They all learn at their own pace and to be honest I am glad he waited as I was home to see him do it. After doing it though he was clapping his hands for most of yesterday, I had to sit him down and tell him that it was cute the first time but now we know he can do it and nobody likes a showoff.

+1 for ignoring the comparative progress of other kids.

We all went mental cos Archie started clapping yesterday (he's just turned one) - and then wouldn't stop. :lol:

We spent a week in the lakes last week and it was just a joy to be with him for that unbroken period of time. He's at such a funny stage, deliberately doing stuff to get a laugh out of us, and is currently a real daddy's boy, which I'm loving.

Also, I cooked a big, lush fish pie for the in-laws yesterday and Arch went crazy for it. Ate a huge bowlful and then kept demanding more. I'm a decent cook but he's not been fussed on anything I've done for him. Mind, this was made with loads of nice fish, white wine, saffron and double cream, so maybe he's just got rich tastes.

The wife has gone back to work (part time) and my lad had his first whole day at nursery on Tuesday. He cried when she left him there, but it looks like he enjoyed his day overall. The nursery have a little book that they fill out with the things he has done during the day, from disgusting nappy related notes to cute things like having a singsong and a ride on a bike. :wub:

My little boy is doing well , 3 and a half months now and just under 10lbs. Falling asleep though he can't stand light music and really enjoys our heavy rock and metal. Just now he fell asleep to Deftones. Love it
