Oliver is 9 months saturday. 9 strawberry floating MONTHS. She goes back to work in 2 weeks and it having a breakdown slowly.

He is nearly walking and has 9 teeth :dread:

One thing. He now has decided that half 5 is wake time. Doesnt give a strawberry float what we think or try and do. Please tell me this passes :slol:

My lad is 21 months and has pretty much a full set of teeth. He’s always slept well at night and doesn’t wake up too early, but he is a nightmare to actually get to sleep. Bedtime is around 8, but he doesn’t normally actually go to sleep then and is chatting and wandering around for quite a while.

He is having wicked tantrums now, he has a habit of hitting us or himself when he is really angry. We tell him off if he hits us, but have been trying to ignore it when he hits himself. We figure it’s just for attention and so if he wants to slap his own face, then he will soon learn that it hurts him and has no effect on us.

I'm not looking forward to proper tantrums, moo is getting a bit moody at times and has a bit of stamp and a shout if you say no to something she wants (tellytubbies, bubble guppies and beat bugs at the moment).
We tend to just let her get on with it, we sort of figure if you react to it they know it works so keep doing it.

Yeah they've come flying through, he has dealt with them so so well, literally no trouble had the odd meltdown, but we've given him plenty of nurofen, calpol, and ice which seems to help loads.

Sleep wise he is a dream going to bed, we give him a bath around 5:45pm then he gets ready for bed about half 6. and he's asleep by 7pm. Its the waking, he was waking at half 6 last year, but something has changed, i assume his curiosity, wanting to walk, talk, throw stuff, being asleep is boring. Cant wait till he's like 15 im getting up at 5am and im gonna make his life a living hell

Put him to bed a little later, we had this with bug so moved he bed time to slightly later, she would sleep the same amount so meant she got up at a more friendly time, gradually she started sleeping more so we nudged bedtime slightly earlier every few weeks.

You can get kits that will let you make a card using their feet and hand prints, maybe something like that would be good, if you can get the time to do it and clean him up without being notices.

We've tried this, but he gets cranky and is literally falling to sleep on the floor.

No chance ill get to do that. I just want like a postcard shape, bit bigger, but i want to put a message on it with some photos. it'll probably accelerate her breakdown but it'll be a nice keepsake.

He will, bug did used to get right pissed off that she was being kept up but it is worth it for the morning sleep, also it becomes normal after a week or two so its just a matter of pushing through.

Reading all of these reminds me of when my daughter was little. She's ten now, going to secondary this year. I can't help with sleep patterns, Ella never did have a proper sleep pattern till she was about 3 no matter what I tried with her!
As soon as they hit nursery and primary school the time flies, it feels like yesterday that I was taking her to her nursery school, she leaves in September for secondary.

One of his favourite things to tantrum about is pressing the toilet flush button. If I go for a piss and dare to flush the toilet myself, then he loses his mind. It’s doubly annoying because he can’t manage to press the button and flush it by himself anyway, so I have to pretend that he is flushing it, while actually it is me pressing it.

The time is already flying by for me, it feels like he should still be a couple of months old, not almost 2 years old. Yesterday I was looking at photos of him from exactly a year ago and he looks completely different. It’s terrifying how much he has changed just over the course of one year.

We get that a little if moo doesn't get to start the washing machine, she will call us naughty, pause it then resume it so she has done it.

Mostly though she just grumps about not getting the show she wants, not getting the ballon game on the wifes phone and getting to go out when it is raining.
