You have to be old now to remember TV static.

I'm only 26 and I remember TV static.

There is nobody younger than me so therefore those people are just stupid.

26 pretty much puts you into grandfather territory.

Glowy if you read this, heads up. Your gaming time will drop massively at least console wise.Portable gaming right now is my saviour.

This, it's not too bad at the start as they sleep a lot but after 4 months or so. :dread:

Pro tip: don't fall out with any of the grandparents, they are a godsend when you want an afternoon to yourself!

I send bug to grandparents 4 times a week to avoid any child care now me and Alex are back to work. My mum rearranged her work and offered up 3 days a week of babysitting which is awesome!

Sadly my issue has been from the start ,he's had a lot of stomach issues so doesn't actually sleep much although we are finally getting that sorted now(all to do with him being premature). I can't wait for the switch though ,it's definitely going to be my console of choice .Oh yeah agree about the grandparents as well, they've already been great. Me and the wife had an afternoon to evening off and went out for a meal and a film thanks to them.

My dad had him yesterday, he's going over the wife's mum's today and my mum is taking him tomorrow. Best weekend I've had for 9 months.

So. It was Rosie's 9th Birthday weekend. Had 3 of her friends round playing Minecraft, Trip to the cinema to see Lego batman, Maccies and then back home for a sleepover.
strawberry floaters kept talking and laughing until 2am.
Next day we picked up another 9 kids and went to spring city ( Trampoline Warehouse ) for a couple of hours.
Why and how do kids have so much energy???
Had a few moments of tears from Rosie because again, her Dad is a useless strawberry float, but I think it's starting to set in that she can't rely on him for anything.

Jaysus Fin, I'd be wrecked after all that. As for gaming, I game as much (if not more) than I did before I had my little one. She's 6 now and honestly just watches me play Xbox or goes up to her mom and watches TV with her, in between she's on her iPad playing games orwatching streamers (child friendly ones)and playing with her toys in her room. Occasionally I play some games with her and if you ever see my Xbox playing Roblox, it aint me! :dread:

All 3 of us commute (well I drive missus to work, then drop daughter at bro's, leave car there and get train to work everyday and do the reverse on way back) so when we get home at 6:30-ish we are pretty much all tired so after Dinner, my missus goes up to our room and watches TV on big telly upstairs and I play Xbox till 10-ish.
The only slight thing is that I couldn't really play Resi 7 in front of her cos its a little hardcore but pretty much everything else is golden.

Hospital last night. Baby glowy hadn't kicked in a day or so but had been moving but not as much. Which led her to search on google :dread: straight down to the midwives where he proceeded to start kicking her like crazy.

Apparently this happens a lot but as its your first you get worried. I was secretly terrfied. And so glad when we heard the heartbeat.

On we go. 11 weeks to go.

Glad to hear everything is ok, we had a terrifying moment where there was bleeding and we were convinced we had lost the baby. The next morning when the ultrasound was done and she cartwheeled into view, showing a fabulous flair for the dramatic.

I used take the piss cos the other half would freak out if Zelda hadnt kicked in a while, as soon as she was out and in my arms I would get unnerved if there was no movement for a few minutes! Cue much piss taking and gloating from the missus.

You can't do anything. I feel so helpless. Saying "itll be okay" is just me guessing. Luckily he seems like a lazy banana split like his dad. They midwives dont even change their tone. They're so comforting and you believe everything they say. Shes got some glucose in her wee so gotta go for a diabetes check but apart from that her belly was going mad. She cried a little bit. Relief more thab anything i think.

The concern doesn't go away once they've arrived, Glowy.

Just to warn you. But glad everything is ok.

Ok, cool. I'll not mention that thing where you are clinically exhausted and desperate for them to go to sleep, so you can sleep, but then your brain keeps you awake because you're concerned when they're not making any noise...

Or that moment when the sheer enormity of the responsibility you've taken on actually dawns on you.
