Weve moved from Peppa Pig to Elmo, that red strawberry floater will be the cause of my nervous breakdown.

Peppa Pig is great. I wish he'd move onto some other episodes, but it is a decent show.

I downloaded about 5 gigs worth of Peppa Pig and stuck it on my external HD which is plugged into my TV. Peppa Pig FOREVER :dread:

I think it is all on Amazon Prime and it is not usually too hard to find some Peppa Pig on the kids TV channels.

Not that it matters to me, he only cares about the two episodes.

I find that a solid amount of the stuff my kids have watched over the years is actually fairly decent - some shows even try to put the odd bit in there for the benefit of the parents, just to stop you from going insane when forced to watch it!

Peppa Pig is a solid show, although Peppa herself often comes across as something of an entitled little gooseberry fool! I quite like the fact that Miss Rabbit appears to hold down pretty much every job in the Peppa Pig world as well!

Daddy Pig is not a dumb strawberry floater!

In one of my sons favourite episodes, Peppa and her dad have a conversation on the moon.

“Daddy, why can I jump so high on the moon? Is it magic?”
“Not really Peppa, it is because the moon is so much smaller than the Earth. Simply put g = GM/r2 where G is the gravitational constant”
“So it’s magic?”
“Err, yes Peppa, it’s magic”.

But I like reading all the happy stories in here :(

It's a nice change of pace to one of my other timewaste sites - r/Childfree (oh the angry bitterness. "Someone brought a child to my 40th birthday party - uninvited" "God lord did you call the police?" )

Mine is too young for TV but I just have it running sometimes and he'll look at it while on his play mat.

I think I remember someone on here complaining about the new Thomas and Friends show being CGI and they are nuts. The CGI is so much better than the crappy old animation where basically the only thing that ever happened is the engines would have their eyes spin around. That being said, the theme song is terrible.

I still think it lost something by going fully CGI. Like Thunderbirds it all just feels a bit soulless.

I get what he means about the CGI one being more "dynamic", but they could have done much more with the real models and sets with the budget they'd have spent on CGI.

My boy has worked out how to manipulate me at bedtime.

I was putting him to bed last night and he said “cuddle?” in the cutest voice. So I gave him a cuddle and put him back to bed. And so he said “cuddle?” and got another cuddle. Then when I put him back to bed again he said “cuddle?”…..

Little sod.
