So Bobs (oliver) is 3 months old thursday, jesus christ where has that time gone. Ive been waiting for that "parent" moment, the time when you realise you're a dad. I mean I know I'm a dad but for the first, very tough, few weeks/ month, all he did was sleep, scream, try to gooseberry fool, scream some more and battle to try and get him to burp. Below, was my "moment"

Anyway we've been starting to try and teach Oliver to start going to sleep at night on his own and I was giving him his bottle as I do for bedtime, he was still awake when i put him down, which normally means a fun hour of rocking him, instead he turned onto his side sucked I put his dummy in, he grabbed my finger and went to sleep, on his own, I actually welled up at that point :fp: Is that weird. He is strawberry floating awesome now, I talk to him and he talks back, in baby language of course, but he always smiles, is never grumpy, and makes some of the cutest noises Ive ever heard.

I've turned into a right soft strawberry floater, I bloody love the little midget

All you do is post pictures on Facebook. You swore you wouldn't do that.

For real though it sounds awesome! I've only had to deal with 18 months and up, so new born will be a complete new experience for me when ever we decide on having a baby.

Side note - 6 weeks is too strawberry floating long to be off school. Jesus Christ.

I did swear..and i lied like a bitch. I dont even care. :slol: As my mom lives so far away its also an easier way of sharing photos for them all. Feel bad that they live so far away sometimes.

He's changed so much. Youll love it mate. Not the first part cus its stressful as strawberry float. But once they start doing stuff

We have a Google photos album that is shared to people that want pics we can then add them without having to post them anywhere

Weve got that too. But the interaction is limited on there. So we upload everything so our phones dont get full. But fb still gets its fair share. Plus the fiancees family live far away too. Especially her nan who has no idea what google photos is.

My family arent much for Facebook but my wifes family are all over it. We banned all pics from Facebook when the little one was born, they kicked up a fuss until I explained who can actually see them and showed them examples of total strangers appearing on news feeds and stuff like that. Turns out they had always just turned a blind eye to that stuff and not really considered it, once they thought about it they realised how creepy and odd it is. The ban has subsequently been lifted, shes not a tiny tiny baby now so it creeps me out less, but they have also stopped sharing so much on Facebook in general so its been a win all round.

You have some awesome stuff to look forward to Glowy, parenting just gets better as they get older. I might change my mind on that when he gets to a few years old though. ;)

My lad is 15 months now and it’s incredible how proud I am whenever he does anything. He is walking now, although he is lazy and seems to prefer crawling. He is also inquisitive about everything he sees, which includes turning off the plug that our router is connected to. :x He knows the word “No” but he basically uses it to wind us up but is so cute he gets away with it. His favourite trick at the moment is standing by the plugs, shaking his head and saying “nononononono!” with a look on his face of smugness as we know he is about to switch everything off.

He recognises things now as well. In the middle of his favourite book is a cartoon picture of a model railway with all sorts of things around it. If you say “where is the chicken?” he will point it out on the picture.

He loves a tantrum though, if he doesn’t get his own way then he explodes with anger. It’s as funny as it is annoying though.

Kids

Got some major clingyness going on at the moment.

The second me or the wife leave the room it is just crying and scwarking . . .

She is 13 mo the and still no teeth and we think maybe she has coming and it is making her feel sad and that's contributing to it.

Either way it's bloody annoying

My lil girl would fuss in hospital when she was born unless she held her moms finger. I've had a million dad moments in the past 7 years, we like peas in a pod, she always wants to chat about stuff.

Say hello to Jacob! He's 4 weeks on Friday so we've got a little bit better at not pissing him off than we were when this was taken!

Yep he's definitely not happy there!

Welcome to the club!

I've just had to play tooth fairy tonight for my 7yr old. Took ages trying to find the tooth under his pillow (which I placed in a convenient spot about 3 hrs earlier). He'd moved it right into the middle under his head and wouldn't budge. So I woke him up and sent him to the toilet so I could swap it for coinage. Little man had no idea

Olivers poop has gone green, 4 months old, still eating normally, sleeping well, think he's in the early stages of teething, absolutely no change in his behaviour, anyone else had green gooseberry fools?
