I have the nicest story to tell.

Well...since I split in 2007 with the gal I had my daughter with, I've kind of been in and out of relationships with....Oooooooo, let's say several women, even moving in with one of them for about 6 months (that's a whooole other story). And on the whole I've had a blast. Most of them have been nice distractions and I even fell in love with one of them...maybe two, at a stretch.

Anyway, I starting seeing this girl at the end of September and, even though the sex may have been the best I've had, and the most adventurous, I treated the relationship as nothing but a friends-with-benefits thing that I knew would never go anywhere. Unfortunately, she saw me very much as boyfriend material and, as much as I wanted to make her happy I never really was able to commit to her..I just wanted to have sex with her a lot.

Aaaanyway, in the middle of this should-i-dump-her-should-I-just-keep-hanging-on-to-have-sex-with-her quandry (not the most difficult of quandries, I agree) a very strange and amazing thing happened - a girl I went out with between the ages of 15 - 23 (childhood sweethearts, grew up in each others pockets, spent every waking moment together kind of thing) messaged me on FB and we started talking. And talking. Then we exchanged photos. Then we started exchanging quite dodgy photos. Then we started talking on the phone. And 2 weeks ago we met up in a pub in Canterbury, got a hotel and ended up spending the night together. And it was awesome.

Tomorrow I'm meeting up with her in London and spending the whole weekend with her. Wish me luck.

Oh and this other girl I was seeing, I ended up telling her it wasn't working and I think she's met someone else now, so all good...cos I did feel a bit guilty about that.

Oh, and never underestimate the willingness of girls to take naked photos of themselves and send them to you. Seriously, it's bizarre - I've a bunch from various girlfriends, some of whom I never asked for photos from.

Me? Yeah, I thought so. :D

It's all a bit surreal at the moment, as you can imagine...

Even though I've seen your picture on here, I still imagine a Gengar taking naughty photos of himself.

Jigger don't go back to friends, you said a few posts back that's hard and you don't want to step back from her, do it. It'll annoy you but otherwise she will only see you as a friend which she needs to not see you as one, best way is isolation.

Then she gets back with her ex.
Then texts me on Valentines Day saying she loves me.
Then posts all the presents and messages her ex, now boyfriend, has got her and claims to have had he best Valentines Day ever.
Then for the next two days texts me asking if i got any surprise valentines cards in the post.
Today a card did turn up, no name just a Guess Who?
She texts me asking who sent it?
I sarcastically claimed i didn't know.
She asked if it made me smile.
I said yes, but then it reminded me of my crippling loneliness and burnt the card. I did not burn the card.
She said to keep my chin and that someone wants me.
I said "Nah, if they did they'd do something about it"
She replied with "maybe its complicated"

She'll keep you on your toes. I say go for it.

She's a banana split. Only go there if it's to play the game back on her.

Plus I bet shes mad in the sack. As long as you dont mind losing your sanity, dignity and friends (all three nearly happened to me in a very similar situation.)

Serious time: cut her off, she sounds mental.

Just got in, was a quality night, spent most of the night chatting and finding out we have loads in common. Talked so much we realised we were 10 mins late for the film :fp: didn't get out of the cinema until 11.40 but rather than call it a night she suggested more drinks and ended up getting back about 10 mins ago :)

Think she's coming over on the weekend one night, that's the only problem, she works weekend days and I work full-time through the week, so it's really only nights we can see each other but we both said it works for each other for the time being.

I wouldn't worry so much about that. I have classes Monday-Thursday and Anung has class Thursday Friday. I also work, including most weekends. :fp: But we get to see each other enough despite that, even if we have a couple of hours to share a dinner in the evening. It almost makes things easier, as living together all the time - he drives me mental. A small break from each other for a few days, ready to rekindle everything later really works.

It does make me wonder why the majority of the Advice in this thread is backward..

Scenario: I like her. I think she likes me.

Answer: Back off. Leave her alone. Don't text.

Or if we're feeling really generous:

Scenario: I like her. I think she likes me.

Answer: Get in there lad and smash that.

Scenario: I like her. I think shes messing me around.

Answer: Back off. Leave her alone. Don't text.

Scenario: But I REALLY like her.

Answer: gooseberry fool on her tits.
