You got a date with Jim Carrey?

How do you like, talk to them? Asking them something stupid gets you in, but then I find I'm completely stalling.

You have to direct the convo the way you want it. So instead of 'Ok.' or ':)', try asking another question. As soon as you can feel the chat going stale, throw something else in there.

My preferred tactic is brag about how good I am, but that might not work if you arent as amazing as me.

This. If I got those replies from a girl I usually stopped talking to them as it's one sided and doesn't seem like it's going anywhere.

You'll also want to be funny, one of the easiest ways to get them to like you.

Helps if you look decent too ;)

Quick example. When she said you should try the ninja business, instead of saying you might, why not ask what it entails? Or what she gets up to?

Then when she said she might see you around, clearly inviting some sort of response.. any response; and then she gets nothing in return - she gives it up with a zero effort reply of her own. Getting her back now will take some skillz because she isnt interested anymore.

And you need to practice some humble bragging.

That started dying at 'I might' and totally flatlined at 'sounds fun'.

'Sounds fun' is really dismissive to the point of sounding sarcastic. It's like saying 'have fun' as in 'do what you want; I won't be there'.

Like Falsey says, just ask questions. Questions questions questions.

On the same theme:

So what would your ninja weapon be?
How will I know it's you?
What do Ninjas do in their spare time?
Where do Ninjas go on dates?
It's a shame you're a Ninja: does that mean I'll never get to see you coming? :shifty:

And then when you're tired of the random stuff, drop in a different question. What are you doing? What did you watch on tv? What was your last meal?

List your top three... animals... meals... TV programmes... songs... best childhood memories... nights out... holidays...

Remember the 'plans for the weekend and...(another question) topics on here? Use those.

Hope this helps...

Or the ninja business conflicts with your work as a nun.

Pretty much anything odd but funny to keep their attention. I even did this once, may have stole the name from here

Just be assertive and never use throwaway responses. You only earn that privilege when she really likes you and you want to get the heat off.

Should have said 'I didn't know they were making a new Beverly Hills Ninja with a female starring role?!'

If you want to start the convo again, try buzzing her something about how are her ninja rounds going etc.

Then move the convo away from ninjas because its lame as strawberry float.

Yeah, but obviously they were just examples to use as a back up if you can feel yourself drying up. Go with whatever feels right.

Girls like talking about themselves and they like being asked questions. The important thing to remember is, if she starts giving one- or two-word answers, she's probably getting bored. No biggie, forget her and move on.

Don't be that guy that keeps on sending messages looking for a response when you're not getting one.

I can't believe I'm reading suggestions of what Ninja questions he should be asking.

How about talking to her about things that matter. Intellectual subjects like literature or politics or the arts...I dunno.

Be cheeky, be interesting, have opinion, be witty - FLIRT!!
