Samsung have announced "4K audio". Because High-Res Audio wasn't good enough. How you're supposed to see 4K through your ears I have no idea, but there you go.

As funny as the 'things in your fridge' meme is, these TVs have actually been shown off now. Pretty standard fare, promising deeper black levels and better colour range blah blah blah. The new wallmount system they've got is excellent though. Not exactly 'epic', but useful nonetheless.

I have it on good authority that Sony are going to be announcing 6D Ultra OLED.

TV's are a weird market that I can't get really excited about. I have a 5 year old 1080p screen and I can't see myself replacing it until it dies on its arse. It is still really good for what I use it for.

Most people use their TV for a pretty significant portion of their life. It makes sense to spend money on a decent set. I wouldn't suggest upgrading every year, but if you're still rocking a CRT then I'd think you were about due. The picture on that must be painful. :lol:
