Decent start. I was hoping Jimmy Smiths would be sticking around as a regular and it looks like he will be. Am I the only one who really wants Tig to meet his comeuppance, though? Not that I don't like him as a character, but it's just that he really strawberry floating deserves it.

I could really do without the musical interlude towards the end of the episodes.

That was maybe the longest musical montage yet! About 6 minutes by my count  Great episode, though.

What does Kurt Sutter have on the FX execs that he can get all these longer than normal episodes? I don't know any other show that has so many extended normal episodes in a season. There was about 5 of them last season and 3 in a row so far this year.

I didn't realise it was longer than normal, because I had to piss off and do something else at least a couple of times waiting for the bloody stream to stop buffering.

6x03-

*Jax sees Unser cut up by nazis*
"Mom are you okay?"

A good episode though killing off Donal Logue so early on in the season threw me. It's like Kurt Sutter just got bored of the plot and eliminated it so he could have a gang war with the IRA. I approve of this direction, especially if it gives Claudette more to do. A fitting death scene for Otto.

strawberry float, a LOT of people died in that episode! Totally didn't expect it to play out the way it did. Nice shake-up a third of the way in to the season. Loving all the special guest stars this season. T-1000, Skinner, Robocop, Claudette! I guess Kurt Sutter ran out of ways to torture himself and just said strawberry float it  Brilliantly gruesome scene.

Kurt Sutter is apparently aiming for season 7 to be the last one. Peter Weller's been in a lot of TV shows recently actually. He's had a nice career revival.

603. Oh good, another music montage to end the episode. And yes, another contrived reason to keep Clay alive for even longer. Lee Toric started off with the potential to be a good character but now it's just silly. I get it, he's a bad guy. CCH Pounder is being completely wasted.

The entire show feels so muddled and lacking in focus. While it's nowhere near bad as Dexter, it is suffering from Dexter syndrome of lazy writing unwilling to take the show in directions that make sense and feel natural. It's never been the same for me since they blew the Season 4 finale.

I might check back in later to see if it's improved but yeah, that's me done with regular Sons watching I think. :(

4th episode was really good. It has yet another musical montage, though. :fp:

Just started watching the latest episode.

Musical montage is at the beginning. Does this mean it's getting it over with first so I don't have to put up with one later?

I do hope so.

Holy gooseberry fool that ending! That's a pretty big game changer for the show. Glad that Chibs called Jax out on his stupidity. That was coming a long time. And now that Sutter is out of the show, is he just gonna punish his wife instead?

Seriously, what is with all these hour-long episodes? 5 in a row now. 8 if you count the final 3 of last season. It's not like the time is being put to good use either, just being filled with musical montages

One of those prison guards was Doug Jones who played Abe Sapien in Hellboy.

Maybe Sutter thinks it was the musical montages which won Breaking Bad all those emmys.

Peaky Blinders Episode 5.

At least there's very little Musical Montage there.

Edit:
Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhh, Musical Montage near the end - He bought it with him - The Curse Of SOA!

Started rewatching this from season 1. Jax was a better actor then, even though you could see he had bit of an accent going on.

They really used Ron Pearlman in a great way the first few seasons.

A montage either end this week. Does that mean there'll be one in the middle as well next episode?
Pretty good episode despite the mantage(s) though. :D
