Well, at least we now know that the Wii U can indeed run CryEngine 3. CryEngine 4 will be on the U too, apparently, according to Crytek as of last August.

The new designs look fine to me. Sonic's in need of a bit of a visual update anyway, he's no Mario.

Buuut I don't remember the last time I played a Sonic game, so I'm not really a fan anyway.

A new Sonic game is coming to PS4 and Xbone next year isn't it? (Sure that got leaked/announced the other week) so i guess they get proper Sonic whilst Nintendo get this monstrosity

Veteran Sonic game developer Takashi Iizuka confirmed to Polygon that Sonic Boom isn't coming to Japan and the Japanese Sonic Team will continue to make Sonic games in parallel to Big Red Button and Sanzaru's titles.

I guess this explains the pumped-up make-over... it's what American and European fans are perceived to want. I recall that Sega indicated that it would focus solely on its Sonic, Total War and Football Manager franchises in the face of lowering profitability. This game is the first fruit of this new approach.

Amy is the best sonic character. The best. The new design for her is awful but whatever, my point still stands.

The best design out of the new bunch is Tails because he no longer looks like a worthless pile of rubbish.
