I think Past has a random boss you have to kill mid-level.

All seems a bit random right now.

It's a comparatively non-linear 2D Sonic game, and I found it a confusing mess when I played it first time in Gems Collection.

Yeah, I'm certainly not complaining but it is weird at first, it's certainly not a time trial game. I think the level layouts make it hard to get your speed up for time warping, you really need to learn where the speedy areas are.

Another great reminder of when Sonic wasn't gooseberry fool... Knuckles Chaotix next?

With Save States, because its Special Stages become incredibly difficult. That final boss though...

It's one of those games I've wanted play for year but could never get the 32X emulator to work.

I got mine to work for long enough to play it several years ago. The graphics are sumptuous, coming as it does just after Sonic & Knuckles, and the zones... they're all right, but there are only four or five, and anyone with a knowledge of Sonic Crackers, the game's beta predecessor, will recognise instantly in certain sprites and the good end credits that it was a Sonic game before it was a Knuckles one.

Still, it's pretty good fun for what it is, and worth having if you can.

I like Chaotix. I use the Fusion emulator to play it. You can play MS, GG, MD, 32X and CD games with it.

Played the first three zones. Going to take a bit of getting used to. Is there actually any benefit in getting good futures?

And I didn't realise you lose time for going in the water on special stages. :x

It was for the best, had SEGA not bothered making it we could still be playing decent new SEGA games on a new SEGA console today.

Wasn't the 32X SEGA of America's idea?

i believe so, the same SEGA of America that slammed RPG's :fp:
