So, is anyone gonna buy this?

I've only just found out that it's released next Friday.

The pre-views have been positive, but I might wait 'till the reviews come in first.

(Apologies if there's already a topic, had a search and couldn't find one)

*hands up* Although it's coming out next week here? Blimey.
I'm hoping it'll be great game, although Bioware has given me a huge hopes for it...so I'll be getting it - hopefully on Day One, as well.

Made by BioWare.

I'm very interested in this, but lack a DS at the minute. :fp:

I played this at PAX, and then went drinking with a bunch of guys from Bioware :o

Here's my impressions/what they said about it.

It's basically like Paper Sonic.
There are some light platforming sections (very light).
The battles have Elite Beat Agent style rhythm stuff going on.
There is a lot of character customisation.
It's pretty as hell.
You have 4 party members at one time, and each ones have certain skills to use in the overworld (like Sonic can run fast, Tails can fly etc.)
The "run" option in battles is a lot of fun.
No random battles, all enemies are walking about on the overworld.

If anyone has any specific questions, I'll try to answer them.

It looks very slow and boring, especially the battles, they look as if they will get dull after the first few, is this the case?

Well...I only played a few, and it didn't get boring...

They weren't particularly slow, or at least didn't feel like it, it's also very easy to avoid battles if you so wish.

79% from a German site and Eurogamer gave it 7/10. Of course, ONM gave it 93%

Got it pre-ordered. Was a shock to see it out this week, but becuase this and batman got pushed forward out of the blue I cancelled batman and kept this. Thus my faith in Bioware.

Really looking forward to this

Does it have a similar sense of humour to Paper Mario? Or any at all? I don't really know anything about this.

I've heard some pretty good quotes from on it on Gamefaqs, Big in particular sounds great:

Sorry, can't help you there, I didn't get to see any of the dialogue.

I interviewed the Associate Producer yesterday, it's going up on (hopefully) tonight's podcast.
