Not to be controversial / cause work for others, but... one thing I liked a lot about SONM was their award badges. And the year I did the Forum Awards, I tried to introduce a similar system, which has fallen by the wayside a little (though the awards that were handed out that year, and retrospectively at the time, are still being 'worn').

If a SONMer wanted to take ownership of the system, we could just incorporate their badge structure wholesale?

Or, those users that won awards on SONM, could carry their badges over to their 'new' forum?

Might make the place seem a bit more like home to some of the regular SONM crowd? (Plus - I'll be honest - I would like to see the awards badges continue over here, in whatever form that might take)

Tbh all forum awards ceremonies just end up being an excuse for a circlejerk anyway. That's clearly why Futurama Mafia was robbed of best forum game by Garf's gooseberry fool game.

Yeah id love to see my old reward badges up. I dont think it is just a circle jerk I mean I won some and I wouldnt say I was a very popular forum member at all... Also we had the ones to say we had took part and written or drawn or whatever for an activity and those ones well pretty much anyone who wants to take part in something can get.
