As much as I loved Killer 7, it really isn't a great game. Fantastically stylish with a great story but relatively mediocre mechanics. Shadows of Damned though was a helluva lot of fun to play.

It seriously happened, but I think some people aren't being serious about how less than important it will actually be.

What does this mean?

I like the style. But Lollipop chainsaw is the one one who's gameplay I've enjoyed too. That game was great.

People talking about it as if it was the second coming are over-rating its importance as a game.

But no first party exclusives or even big third-party ones. I'm sure something interesting will come out of E3 but it's a shame it didn't get any real stage time.

Freedom Wars is a big first party exclusive. But Sony have said that outside of their Japanese studios they won't be making big blockbusters for Vita.

What a strange thing to say. It does what it wants to do just about perfectly. A lack of mechanical depth doesn't automatically hold a game back from greatness, and in Killer7's case, it's about so much more than its systems.

Oh I don't care about arguing it's importance either way, to do so misses the point (although it really isn't the second coming, obviously, just probably on a personal level to those that played it way back when). It's beyond that for me. I really don't have the capability to be objective about this game. All I can say is this is the happiest any game announcement has made me; it's nostalgia, I know, but being hopelessly excited about it feels lovely and is one of the silly things about being a gamer. It seemed as unlikely to happen as Shenmue 3 but clearly wasn't what with re-releases of the monkey island series. Oh, I feel high as a kite.

Now to look at what else has been announced.

Velocity 2X is the hero we need.

I wonder how much money Sony wasted securing Hulk as a PS4 exclusive in Disney Infinity?

I played it way back when (still have my copy), but its never quite been the game for me that other adventure games were.

I was genuinely excited when they remade Monkey Island 1 and 2, for me those stand as the best adventure games LucasArts ever made by quite some margin.

The only adventure game remake I'd get really excited about now is Blade Runner...but that's clearly never going to happen.

You didn't finish it, though. Perhaps what I should have said is those who played and loved it and now feel incomprehensibly nostalgic about it.

I'd rate the Monkey Island games level with Grim fandango but hold GF closer to heart...the whole art style, theme, story, characterisation and the same high level of wit and humour in the script. It's my favourite game to this day.

I'm with you on the Blade runner remake, that would also be something very special.

I've missed this story completely... really? Hulk is only in the PS4 edition? I may need to change my pre-order.

EDIT: Answered my own question; Hulk will be out on all platforms but he's exclusive to the PS formats for a limited time via the Infinity 2.0 Collector's Edition.

The Grim Fandango remake is great for me, even though I think the Monkey Island games are far better. The first two remakes were excellent, and the third has a fantastic style so doesn't really need to be remade. I'd love it to come out on steam though.

That's good isn't it? Imagine a preteen boy who has just splashed out £15+ on it and places it on his Wii U's infinity mat and the words came up: "This is a PS4 only character. Tell your mummy and daddy to buy a PS4 for you! Much love from Walt Disney."

Woah! Chill, Wedgie... Hulk is only initially available as a part of the PS Collectors Edition version; the Hulk figure will then get a stand-alone release a short time later and at this point he'll be playable in all versions. No kids will be crying :-).
