I too, have beta access.

After a good few rounds, I managed a 7 under par and scraped into the top 100 (77) for today's rankings.

Might have a few more rounds tonight when I get in.

Played earlier and there were no black borders around the screen. However, there have been a few instances where they did appear with other games in the past. Can't recall what I did, if anything, to fix them. I think one time TV display setting had shifted from 1:1 pixel. (Or whatever it's called.)

Cheers SOK had a play around with my TV but can't seem to change it odd.

Had a few rounds and its just as I thought it would be charming.

Honestly? It's not the same as the Vita version, to me. The ball physics just seem a bit wrong to me, all a bit twee and inconsequential.
I could do with the single player mode to look at, as akin to being lumped in some online sandbox lobby bollocks, putting me off.

I'm into this. Played a good bit of the Vita game but I'm liking this more for some reason. I like how it drops you into an open course with a bunch of other players and you're free to roam around. There's a nice sense of community to it.

How can you join friends?

I do enjoy how a course is a course, like Crimson said, you can make your own way from hole to hole. It gives it all a bit more 'place', if you know what I mean. Still not impressed with the ball physics, the camera manipulation is a lot more fiddler than I remember, and shot shaping isn't very obvious at this point.
