No idea why people are posting personal pictures in a Sony Thread!

I'm up to the Dream bit and so far it's been pretty damn great. First hype I've felt since the start of E3 with TLG and Horizon.

I assume the reason they were comfortable saying it was gonna be a space 2015 is because they knew they were gonna knock it out of the park at E3.

Three, no?

You could get away with not subbing to it.

What a conference.

The good:
Games, games, games. Very little lull between them, no filler games.
New games. New IP. Horizon looks fantastic. Game of the Show so far.
Didn't dwell on the indie stuff again.
Loads of gameplay.

The bad:
Having a kickstarter on your show is kind of messed up. Bit conflicted on this one because I think it's something a vocal minority want so can see what they're not keen on funding it themselves. It's one where getting nutters to give $1000 to see it made makes a lot of sense.
Not enough Morpheus details.
No announcements of any big firmware updates to PS4. This is one area where Microsoft do incredibly well.
Probably a bit too much pandering (FFVII and Shemue)
I don't like all this exclusivity of DLC and stuff but I can't really blame them with COD as it's what MS has been doing.
That Disney Infinity crap.
Dragged a bit at the end.

Solid 8/10. Wasn't expecting that at all. Was expecting yet another GoW from Santa Monica and Uncharted megafest.

Was there any announcement about what Evolution Studios are doing with DriveClub?

I really don't understand people complaining about no first party for 2015. Q4 is rammed with Fallout 4, Mad Max, Phantom Pain, Rainbow Six, Battlefront, AC: Syndicate and Black Ops 3.

If you've got time for much else then you probably already own an Xbox One as well and if you're getting Tomb Raider and Halo 5 then when the hell are you going to have time for anything else?

Did they show any of the Uncharted Collection games off? Or is that saved for the show floor?

:( That's slightly ominous for Evolution Studios. A team who can create a game as amazing as DriveCub need to be set to work on something else, and fast!

I watched it last night and it was incredible:

Three projects being revealed that seemed utterly mythical, plus the Horizon and Uncharted demos. it was amazing to see my Twitter feed lose its gooseberry fool over and over.

Fair summary.

Not sure I (personally) agree with the firmware thing - especially when there are so many actual games being announced - but I fully admit I'm solely using my PS4 as a games machine at the moment (it's not in my living room), so I'm really not fussed about that stuff.

Massively agree about Morpheus, though. I was expecting much more on that.

Um, there is a major PS4 firmware update today, that allows you to play all your media on your PS4. Something that people are crying for ages.

I would call that major.

^^^ Just came in to post that, having seen your thread.

I guess it's a good sign that a firmware update isn't really a major focus of a conference.

Yeah, that's cool and all but Microsoft are rolling out monthly updates and most of them bring some pretty cool features. It's not a deal breaker by any means but I would have liked to see some cool new stuff announced. One thing I really want is screenshots in PNG format (better quality).

I strawberry floating hate updates.

They are the bane of my life, especially now I have a slow connection. Really takes the edge off a quick gaming session when you have to download and install an update before you can proceed.

I hate them on my phone, too. Have to turn off the auto updates - I hardly have any apps but those strawberry floaters are updating them like every few days sometimes. Just leave me alone to use my phone, you banana splits. (Just as a random sample, I updated all apps two days ago. Just checked again and five more need updates. JUST strawberry float OFF!)

(But no, I do actually agree: more features are better and there is still a lot of stuff that the PS4 doesn't do that it should.)

Do you not think its a little odd that we are essentially repeating E3 2014 where Sony made some big announcements but Microsoft had the better lineup of games for the next six months? I'm just surprised that Sony have let the same thing happen again.

Was there any sort of Battlefront exclusive stuff announced?

I think a couple of delays hurt them. The line up for the end of the year should have included Uncharted 4 as well as Ratchet & Clank. They gotta hope that those 2016 games don't slip as the line up for 2016 is looking quite amazing.
