The code Trelliz gave me for this won't register on steam or GFWL for some reason, keeps saying it's been used, which it obviously hasnt.

Any ideas?

God, this is good isn't it? Bloody hard yes, but lots of fun. Tense, tense fun!

After watching a few videos, I managed to get some decent gear early on and am working my way through the Undead Parish.

It's the kind of game that I'm thinking about all the time, when I'm not playing it.

The most rewarding game I've played.

You can buy more from the lady in the aqueduct. Killing ghosts makes them drop them, especially if you are wearing the gold serpent ring.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Getting a cursed weapon will also help, I believe. I've not done this part yet.

Playing this on ng+ last night. I found the wolf ring for the 1st time. I had been seeing the thing glowing up on the ledge when you enter darkroot for so long and had never been able to figure out how to get up there. I was shocked when I realised you could take out the tree hiding the entrance. The only place I was aware I hadn't been was ash lake. I couldn't be bothered trying to climb down there on my initial play through. I think I'll have a swatch there tonight though to see it.

Looking forward to being able to access the dlc.

So was playing the PC version, went in to the lava area after Queelag's domain (forget the name just now) and I get invaded as I make my way past the now cooled lava-flow. I managed to beat the invader very quickly with my Black Knight Sword (+5) and got 20,000+ souls. I only proceeded to accidentally roll off the nearest cliff into the lava below. On my backtrack I wasn't paying attention on a thin walkway and again I fell down! :fp:

Now that I've got my Lordvessel placed, starting to play all the areas I hadn't even seen on the PS3 version (due to using the boss skip from 1.05 :shifty: ). Dukes Archives are done, but tempted to go for the DLC area for gooseberry fools'n'giggles. Is it possible to get back to the main gameworld again or are you stuck there until you finish it all?

Once you get to the first Bonfire in the DLC area you can warp to and from there. You're not trapped.

It's really good - the new boss battles are ace. I couldn't get any of the arena stuff to work though :(

I unlocked the shortcut back into the aqueduct from Lower Undead Burg, but got a fright and hit the Undead Merchant Female behind the bars, thinking she was an enemy! :fp: Now she won't deal with me. Is there anything she sells which is important later on, and that I can't get elsewhere?

I think you can confess your sins to the guy at the bottom of the church where you fought the gargoyles - that should make her neutral again. She sells moss and humanity which are both very useful.

Those stone Golems in the DLC garden :dread: Even with baiting tactics their hammers can do some serious damage! :o Nice to throw you into a boss fight at the start too!

That's cool. I remembered the guy. I wondered what the 'confess your sins' thing was about at the time.

Artoris you fecking arsehole. I've got him down to minute amounts of health on numerous occasions, and even with a dual-handed +5 BKS I'm still getting triple slammed by his spinning attack if it catches me out mid-roll. :x And even as a human non of the summon signs worked :fp:

I think the best tactic with him is to stay close as much as possible to prevent him from using those ridiculously powerful attacks.
