The majority of souls lost across all my playthroughs were lost in Tomb of The Giants.

Do it.

Does the physical size of your character make a difference to any stats?

Could I build a tank build using the skinny or medium sized character model?

I know, it's just that it's quicker than the Zwei which helps when being surrounded by baby skeletons.

The route from the nearest bonfire to the boss was probably the most annoying in the game.

70000 souls lost to Nito and I haven't even managed to land a strike on him yet. His red ghost claw stops me from getting close to him while his minions swarm me. This is going to take a while.

A divine weapon can stop his minions from respawning.

Also, the tell for that attack is actually quite obvious, just need learn the proper timing.

I was hoping that there was a tell. I've been killed too quickly to see him for very long so I'll try harder to keep an eye on him. Thanks for the divine weapon tip, I'll keep Astora's sword on me after passing the fog. When I made it there the first time I noticed a little shortcut so, as long as I don't lose my footing, I only have to deal with three pinwheels. Even then, I might be able to just run past them.

If you have a divine weapon, stay at the top end and kill the little guys and circle Nito. There are big guys at the other end you're better off leaving. The tell for the ghost sword is the scream, roll just at the end. And you can run past the entire path before him. From the bonfire all the way to the fog gate. Time it right and you can make it without a single hit.

Thanks for the info Falsey; I'm happy to say that I just beat him and managed to clock onto the tell for the ghost sword. It took all 15 of my Estus flasks to take out the small and big skeletons. I tried avoiding the big ones but they decided to join in as I ran from Nito's big black wave attack, though I did end up running right into them to avoid that . After all the skeletons were gone I had a tense moment as Nito caught me with just over half my health to do that attack where he has control of you and saps your health. Luckily I had a little health left and used some humanity to keep me going. I got a bit cocky going for the last two strikes with the Astoras sword and he managed to hit me. I thought that I was done for but the recovery time after the attack gave me the chance I needed to finish him.

I'm going to explore the gold gate that opened in Arnor Londo next as I know that the Four Kings await me in New Londo Ruins and I've heard enough about them to leave them for now.

The Four Kings aren't actually that bad until NG++ at which point they become a nightmare! Power Within, spamming 2 handed attacks and healing when you get the chance FTW!

I'll head to Arnor Londo anyway as the Sun IRL will make New Londo even more annoying lol.

Where is he? I can't remember a Black Knight in the Catacombs. Also, didn't you just start the game? Have you beaten Quelaag or Ornstein and Smough?

There's a Black Knight near a fog door in the Catacombs.

Just got the paladin set on the Xbox version... Now to find a weapon I want to stick with. Not going to be the Zwei, I hate the shitty slow swings and long recovery times.

Hmm, not sure which weapon to use; BSS, Claymore or try to get the fury sword... 40 Str/40 Dex allows me to use pretty much any weapon effectively. I'm pumping points into Faith now so I unlock some of the better miracles... Will end up being around SL160, but meh, not bothered about PVP.

Artorias was a bastard to fight. I knew what I had to do and when to dodge etc but kept strawberry floating it up.

Got him in the end though 8-) Saved enough humanity to save Solaire now too I think.

Made a start to this today. Downloaded DSFix but not really put much effort into adjusting the different values yet.

Spent a while trying to decide on a class. Ended up as a Pyromancer and chose the Master Key as the gift. It seemed like the most useful item out of the bunch.

The beginning was straightforward enough until I reached the Asylum Demon. :dread: My attacks were rather useless against it and so I died a couple of times. So the third time I just ran past it. Died a bit further on but as I never bothered to light any bonfires I ended up back at the section just after the demon. Next time I'll make sure to light one of them.

You want to be lighting and kindling (boosting) every single one of them.

I never bothered because I'm sure the game said they only recovered your health. It was fine each time I went past one so it didn't seem to be worth it. Obviously that wasn't case so at least I know now.
