Think about it, though, the E3 conference is just about the only place Wonderbook could be unveiled if it wants any chance of success. Any other time of the year, the mainstream press wouldn't even be paying attention, and given that it's not going to sell to core gamers at all, without mainstream coverage the thing would be DOA.

Thinking back on the whole conference, it actually seems to be that Sony's financial difficulties and trying to make a profit were underscoring the whole presentation. It was all basically "budget buys you screentime".

Makes me bit worried about GamesCom, that was a trainwreck last year.

I'd love to see what these new games for the vita are  now that The last of us is definitely 2013 , there's.... 6 games I want to buy, for the rest of the year. Pretty poor considering how well the year looked at the start :x

That would be the best course of acton.

Genuinely surprised they didn't show that in the conference.

Cheers Frank

Yeah, I think for anyone who didn't like Heavy Rain arn't going to be liking this. Visually stunning but with QTE all over the shop I wonder how much it's going to eliminate the problems people had. If it pushes more of the point & click stuff and having control over your character I'll be more than happy

If they could just have cut the Wonderbook stuff to two minutes (because as cringeworthy as that bit was, there IS a potential market for it and Sony need all the money they can get), then used those ten minutes saved to cover two other top games (even if they were preannounced), that would probably have done. In a "we know you know that we're marking time until next year's console announcements" sort of way.

Nonetheless, The Last Of Us and (for me) Beyond look stunning and other than that I've got a year to deal with my backlog. :D

You're right, why in god's name wasn't that in there?!

I liked the bit with dubstep over Netflix.

If they attend, they've got to make it about the Vita. PS3 got a good showing at E3, while the Vita suffered; time to turn the tables (besides, we've seen all the cool PS3 stuff).

That Vita video is hardly that impressive, its mostly ports and small downloadable games.
