Discovery Tour update is out now. 5.5GB, so presumably a fair bit of content. I'll be touring tonight.

EDIT: It also adds New Game Plus. Like I'm anywhere near being ready to start that.

I have had this game since launch but I have only played a couple of hours, I have a back log from before Christmas still, I noticed the 5.50gb update and got an email, it seems a nice idea especially with it being free

I sort of wish kept my copy as I sold it just before Christmas as I’ve completed it with a platinum trophy. I had nothing to come back to play it again.

Oh never mind. :(

This is excellent. Accidentally wandered into an area way above my level :slol: That ended well.

Apart from the shitty animus bits. This is the most fun I've had with an AC game since black flag.

They have done. I tried to fight a level 40 one. Ended brilliantly.

They are possible to beat if you are 3 or 4 levels below them, but you are strawberry floated if you are nowhere near their level.

I think I have one left to kill, I fluked killing one of the level 40 ones and decided not to push my luck on the other one until I level up a bit more.

The huge elephants in the arena's can dish out huge damage so I'd advise not going into those until you're almost max level.

I tried fighting one of those when my level was in the 20s. It didn't go well.

I started playing this yesterday and I'm a little confused by it. No idea what's going on with the plot, but I guess that will develop as the game progresses, but so far I'm not actually sure who I am.

Gameplay wise I'm lost. Fighting hasn't clicked with me at all so far unlike the last AC game I played (AC2). Aside from the fight at the start where it basically said, x for dodge. rb to hit etc it hasn't really taught me anything. So when I'm fighting I'm not really doing it in a eloquent way, just basically slashing at them in a very boring manner. I would have thought there would be some kind of training. I'm struggling against just 2 enemies as I can't seem to get any kind of technique.

Quests I am apparently ready to go after the first target in Siwa, but I have no doubts I'll get battered. I tried to go look for treasure at some ruined temple and the bandits massacred me with spears and my hits barely did anything to them. I'm level 6 and just picking whatever weapon looks best. I'm not really a big fan of games where it gives you an insane amount of stuff to read and choose as I lose interest quite quickly, so perhaps I'm not choosing weapons well. I've crafted a few things but again, doesn't seem to be making a difference.

So at the moment as far as I can tell I have 2 quests - find some circles (am I just supposed to walk around the dessert or fly around and spot them?), and the main target, which I will 100% lose as I've not got better at fighting.

So at the moment I'm not a fan of the game apart from the graphics, so any advice would be appreciated as I'm kinda bored/confused already after about 2 hours.

Just left Siwa.

The bad:

- incomprehensible intro and plot so far. I thought the opening cinematic had glitched in fact: one minute there's a bald guy watching the Pharaoh, the next there's a bearded guy beating up a dude. Took me until until the first flashback to realise the first bald guy was Bayak at all (thought it was his mate. In shaved head Magi mode they look almost exactly the same)

- All the present day/computer glitch stuff. Checking Senu and returning to Bayak to see the world warping back in a la Tron is just off (and lol at them incorporating the shitty movie into the flavour text)

- The combat so far is weak. Shield, light and heavy hit, dodge. Super simple and super unengaging

The good.

- It's strawberry floating gorgeous. Seriously beautiful, I cannot even imagine the work that went into the environments

- The stealth is great fun, sneaking around like a right jobber and knocking people the strawberry float out.

- The sheer amount of AIs wandering around has lead to some funny emergent tableaus, like Senu spotting a barge under attack from a croc or a bloke in the market tripping over a cat.

- Did I mention how good looking it is?

- You get a camel.

It's fun! Nothing new or particularly exciting, but fun nevertheless.

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm aware the story will become clearer later on, but as of Siwa it is just nonsense and poorly explained. This doesn't really help me get engrossed.

Does anyone know the best way to practice fighting? I'm annoyed the only time so far was the weird unexplained battle at the start. I want to just fight ONE enemy to try and get used to the mechanics, but when I do another 3 enemies come along and it just becomes a mess, of just dodging and getting hit.

I had no idea this was so influenced by RPG's (which I'm not a fan of). So many things to read and learn, and so many numbers and xp points and all that bollocks :dread:

Genuinely just seen one of the most disturbing and upsetting things in this game, absolutely heart breaking.
