Getting a bit interested in this now. :shifty: I just know I'm going to nitpick the hell out of it, though.

Listening to the Hardcore History 'Kings of Kings' series, I think there's a ton of scope to take the series to Achaemenid Persia, but it'd have to be a prequel to this since this is supposed to be the earliest game yet.

:o Either a lot of moneyhats have changed hands, or Ubisoft has stumbled upon a decent Assassin's Creed game.

Sounds interesting, but the lessening focus on stealth and the grind of the level system puts me off quite a bit

Seems to be reviewing well. 85% on Metacritic.

I'll wait until it's pre-owned and under £20 before picking it up myself, however. Still got Syndicate to start.

I’m glad it’s getting good scores all round and it seems every two year cycle have paid it off. Can’t wait to exploring ancient Egypt!

Just played an hour or so of this, and it's looking like it's going to be a good'un (although my early impression is that as interesting as this era is, I prefer the more built up cities of the last few iterations).

However, it really is quite atmosphere-wrecking whenever someone speaks to your character; "By 'eck, you're consumed with vengeance!"

I keep mentally adding 'lad' to the end of sentences.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

It was inevitable. I've liked every game in the series, and seeing this get good reviews made my resolve crumble. At least it means I don't have to play Mario this weekend.

Yeah I'm with you on that. Always had a soft spot for the AC games myself. In fact I've been playing through the first again once I realised it was compatible with the X1. Still have Syndicate to start so will wait before buying Origins.

I'll be doing the exact same thing Bor. Assassin's Creed always ends up being a Christmas day game for me.

... and I caved it today. The temptation of this and Super Mario Odyssey are a bit too much for my liking so I worked it out. I will play Origins now so I may get a Switch with Super Mario Odyssey this Christmas instead and the Q1 is 2018 looks busy for new games like God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2 and etc.

From now to the end of 2017, Origins is the only game I want to get so here I am! Can’t wait to play it this afternoon! :datass:

They've all been decent apart from 1 and 3 (haven't played Rogue).

Really tempted to get this for Christmas but I'm not sure if I can be arsed with these types of games any more.

What is the bonus content like? - is it cosmetic, do you get better/same stuff later in the game?

I've enjoyed them too, except they keep shoehorning in needless sci-fi crap that only spoils what could otherwise be great period stories, and it's just beyond my ability to tolerate it. I have Unity sitting in my games cabinet, I should really get to playing it, but I know it'll set me off again. :(

Rogue needs a PS4 update. It felt like it was too much for my PS3 to handle, whenever I tried playing it.

I only bought the Gold version because it was a cheaper way to also get the season pass. I'm not really bothered about the Deluxe content, it's just a bonus.

I think it's a mix of cosmetic stuff, with a few extra weapons (which I don't intend using if they're overpowered for the start of the game). And there's an extra mission. Nothing I would have paid extra for.
