In case it isn't obvious, you should watch the prequel season "Gods of the Arena" after :)

Well, you're meant to start with Blood and Sand, so you're still good. :D

Yeah, Blood and Sand is definitely the right place to start, they did the prequel season after that because the Spartacus actor Andy Whitfield had cancer. There was hope that in the meantime he'd recover for season 2 but he sadly died and they had to recast the role.

This is the correct viewing order:
Blood and Sand
Gods of the Arena
Vengeance
War of the Damned

He did die but the replacement, while it was a bit odd at first seeing a different person as the same role, definitely made it his own and became equally awesome.

I wasn't sure about the new Spartacus in Vengeance but he won me over in War of the Damned.

I'm guessing it's the US Netflix.

Starting watching this and saw Slade from Arrow's cock, yay.

The narrative is pretty cleverly done, it's a post-Friday Night Lights sports series disguised as historical fiction.

‘Spartacus’ Revival in the Works at Starz

Creator Steven S. DeKnight will develop a sequel to the early 2010s series that was a breakout for the premium cabler.

The premium cable outlet is developing a revival of/ sequel to Spartacus, the first original show to reach a wide audience. Series creator Steven S. DeKnight is writing the new take — Starz says it will “expand” on the original — and will serve as showrunner.

“It’s such an incredible honor to be invited to return to the world of Spartacus and to be met with unbridled creative support from my colleagues at Starz and Lionsgate,” DeKnight said in a statement. “Together we are crafting something truly unique and unusual for the next chapter in this epic story.”

The new chapter is set in the aftermath of the slave army’s defeat and will “depict a new tale of treachery, deceit, and blood unfolding beneath the foreboding shadow of Rome,” per the project’s description. Starz also says the update will feature characters from the original series — though no specifics are in place yet.
