I was tempted to make a separate thread about this but decided I should stick with what's already available.

WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD!

I'm wanting to know who are the hardest characters in Spartacus in a 1 on 1 fair fight (both armed with the arms they're best at using).

The one thing I'm sure of is Theokoles is very toughest of them all. I'm sure he'd have beaten Both Crixus in a 1 on 1.

So, after Theokoles, who is the 2nd toughest?

I can't make up my mind between Spartacus, Oenomaus or Gannicus. In the first 2 season you'd get the impression that Oenomaus was for sure 2nd to Theokoles, however, he did lose to the Egyptian. Then again, he was pretty badly wounded on both occasions that he was fighting the Egyptian. What do you think?

And on that note, who is toughter, Crixus or the Eygptian?

Spartacus’ final battle is coming sooner than you think.

Starz is set to announce that the next season of its historical drama Spartacus will mark the show’s final outing.

The upside: Creator Steven S. DeKnight promises the remaining episodes will be spectacular. “This season is bigger than anything we’ve attempted,” DeKnight says. “The scope and scale is just amazing. We’re dealing with massive battles between thousands of people. We hope to leave people feel satisfied.”

DeKnight says he’s been 90 percent certain for months that the upcoming third season — subtitled “War of the Damned” — would be the last for Spartacus. Creatively, the writer-producer assures that the timing will result in a strong tale. The historical foundation for the rebel leader’s journey, he says, lends itself to wrapping up the show sooner rather than later.

..

Spartacus will leave behind a legacy of having stretched the boundaries of series television, between expanding the use of green-screen technology (the show has never shot one frame outdoors) and proving hard-R sex and violence can draw an audience when mixed with compelling storytelling. There was, and remains, nothing quite like the show on TV.

“I would much rather end a series with the audience wanting more than limping to the finish line, with only the die-hard fans sticking around for the wrap up,” DeKnight says. “We want to make the 10 best episodes we can. I can’t wait for everybody to see it.”

Gannicus. If he applied himself I probably could take Theokoles.

I'm up to episode 7 of the Vengeance series after getting the blu-ray for Christmas. Episode 5 was so good!

I'll have finished in time for the final season as well. Can't wait!

Good episode to start the series off. Really liked the new "bad guy" for the series. Looking forward to the rest of it :D

Lovely start to the series, seemed to be a bit more action packed than usual. Will be interesting to see what plotting and scheming the bad guy does and against who.

Indeed, a great start...

Plenty of the red stuff, Gannicus with 3 ladies and Crassus looks a fitting nemesis.

Liam McIntyre seems to have grown more into the role too.

I'm going to be honest. I want that. I want to wear that. If I bought that I would weight lift like a mummy strawberry floater until I looked good in it.

Yeah, very good episode.

I've noticed on the 720P rips I'm downloading is that when watched in VLC they cut out around 45-50 minutes in and I can't watch the remaining 5-10 minutes, yet playing them in Media Player Classic I have no issue with it playing the whole file. It's really pissing me off.

I agree it was awesome :D, Agron annoyed me though, he could have killed Caesar in that fight when he had his sword against his chest, however he didn't, and the same when Caesar was on the floor.
