Found all the backpacks this morning and unlocked the suit

Also found the Black Cat collectables and finished them off straight away to unlock another suit.

Has anyone completed the 50 secret photo opportunities yet and does it unlock anything? I've found 11 so far.

It’s probably the best time to get a PS4 for the sheer amount of exculsive games.

This! I was going to wait to get it in a sale, but reading this thread is making me want it now!

Man, yeah, I am desperately trying to resist. Tbh I've kinda got over the "peak desire" point because I've missed out on the three pre-order Spidey outfits and I'm not sure if there's a way to get them now.

Just trade something in for it.

I didn't like the first suit - but the second one is great.

There's a suit upgrade at level 50 that will help with the third if you don't want to search them all out

I wasn't a fan of the white spider on the main suit at the beginning, but its now my favourite suit. I see there must be quite a few to unlock and I have done a quarter of them. I did not get a pre order code, so am looking forward to getting the Avengers one.

I think there's more than appear on the list at the start.

Yeah the white one works reeally well. Some of the others are too garish. Or just look a bit off (Classic for instance)

I haven't got any 'newish' games that I want to trade in... and GAME only give pennies for most older games. I wish there was a way of trading in digital games.

That's one of the big reasons I'm not into digital, if you don't like the game you're stuck with it and you can't trade it in, they also tend to be cheaper than on PS Store.

In fact the only time I do digital is either when it's a smaller game I can't get on disc, or it's free on PS Plus.

I suppose it was an odd choice of word.

I figure I'm quite near the end so be careful what you read of the below

What I mean is with the core of the story which is the Mr Negative stuff, I feel like I missed a cut scene somewhere because it never seemed to bother explaining what his motivations were and some of his actions seem to just be evil for the sake of being evil. I don't even know what he was trying to do, take over the city? The whole thing is so basic it's like it came out of a cartoon. In what way would releasing that Devil's Breath have helped him achieve whatever he was trying to do anyway?

I don't really understand why it's that way as they clearly have the capability to write something with a bit more meat to it in what I meant by the side stuff. The Dr Octopus plotline has been very well done throughout, building him to be a sympathetic character all with the impending sense of dread as he goes of the rails. When he finally got the suit on and the controller shakes with every tentacle hit of the ground it's just a fantastic moment and he's suddenly this really imposing villain.

My son is ruining this somewhat for me.

He loves it. It's the first game he's ever bothered to do missions on and progress the story. In the past he's been happy to return again and again to an aspect he loves within an area he knows well. Example: in AC Black Flag I let him play it as all he wanted to do was remain in the first town and push npcs into the sea. He found it hilarious. I should probably divulge he is on the autistic spectrum.

I honestly thought he'd just web sling about and stop criminals, but he's on 40% on MY game save :D
I've both missed story elements and seen them at random points when he's had to call on me to help. I've completed tedious science pipe mania challenges for him that I don't want to do again. New combat things keep popping up that I've never seen before because he's found the skills unlock menu. He's destroying my Spidey journey, the little git!

I hope there's NG+ so I can go through the story from start to finish with all the stuff we've (him mostly) unlocked.

I'm not sure you are as close to the end as you think. If you are, you've definitely missed something.

I'm at the very end now, and I'd say its a good comic book story, it sets up their version of Spider-Man really well. If there's one thing to mention about the game that might be negative, it's that it's heavily influenced by the Arkham games, to a point where there are things in the game that flat out wouldn't have been there if Arkham didn't exist. Not sure if that's really a negative thing or not, it doesn't do things badly by any means, its just slightly derivative.

As most have said the sheer joy of the movement system is definitely the highlight, but I'd put the story overall a close second (especially if you include the world they've built around the story). Those two things elevate the game.

Finally got this last night and I love it. That seamless opening and where it transitions to swinging down the streets was an amazing moment. Its another one of those moments where you feel like you are playing in a movie. I also like how you don't necessarily take the most direct route as you need to ensure you have buildings to swing off.

Sure some stuff like the towers and the backpacks are a bit cookie cutter ubisoft mechanics, but it makes sense in terms of the game world.

Its like the sort of progression I would have liked to see from the Arkham games but I guess the Batman universe wouldn't really fit the faster paced action. It feels great to be in such a vibrant and colourful world, with a nice dose of lightheartedness.

I really hope they get creative with the licence and maybe make a Marvel Video Game Universe.
