Marvel's Spider-Man Gives You All the Powers You Want From the Start

(...)

Best of all, an experienced Spider-Man means you don’t have to spend time as he gets to grips with his powers: “It's not like you load up the game and he doesn't have any powers,” Intihar says. “The first time you're swinging, the first time you're fighting, you need to feel like Spider-Man.”

We won’t experience a Metroid Prime moment where we use all our powers, then lose them all, either: “It's not about doing something cool, stripping your powers and starting again. You play Spider-Man to be Spider-Man, and we want you to feel like that right away.”

Visually amazing and I loved some of the older Spiderman games but not fully convinced on the gameplay... Not a big fan of Arkham combat or QTEs.

I'll admit graphically that looks stunning, I'll wait for gameplay impressions before getting excited though.

I'd actually pay to get rid of that horrible suit design someone decided was a good idea.

Hmm, visually impressive but not looking too hopeful on the gameplay at this point.

I want to feel like a super hero because the game gives me a decent move set and responsive controls and I use those to do amazing things and overcome challenging obstacles. I'm not going to feel anything like that just for pressing a button at the right time in a pre-programmed "cinematic sequence"

The only games that have ever made me feel like a superhero were Prototype 1 and 2. So good.

Yeah it's definitely not an easy thing to achieve, but right now I'm not convinced this is going about it the right way. Of course until we see more there's every chance that it will play better than I fear.

Looks awesome to me.

Now that Mario is out, this is the game I'm most looking forward to I think.

"Marvel's Spider-Man Gives You All the Powers You Want From the Start"

Good.

While I enjoyed the Batman titles it was absured that the above wasn't true of said games.

I never really felt that it was too bad with Batman. It makes sense that he's not going to carry every single gadget that he has with him, every time he leaves the cave.

EDIT: Though I agree he shouldn't have to "relearn" combat moves and the like.

But I'm glad we're not starting with a young Spider-Man. I love that period of his career, but it's nice to see a Spider-Man who's at his peak, is confident in his abilities and is already established.

I'm more interested in seeing what they do with Mr Negative. Not one of the better known villains, so I'm excited to see what they do with him and what the story is going to be.

I'd hoped for June, but I can live with September. When is Red Dead 2 out? Hoping this comes out in plenty of time that it doesn't run into that.
