Splat Wednesday (Splatoon 2 every Wednesday at 21:00)

Sorry guys, I haven’t been able to put Octo Expansion down, but now that I’ve finished it I’ll try to get on next week.

Recently got the game, finding the controls a little fiddly. What's the official verdict: playing with separated joy cons (my usual preference), a pad, no motion controls?

What should I start trying to get used to?

Personally, I use a pro controller with motion controls. But I'm used to playing with the gamepad on Wii U with the first game.

The motion controls are so much better than manual aiming. They take a while to get used to, but are well worth it.

I hope you'll join us on Wednesday's in the future, it's a great way to get to know the game. :toot:

I was accustomed to the motion aiming on Wii U, but since day 1 in Splatoon 2 Iv'e found myself not wanting to defer from traditional aiming instead.

Reposted to kinda put the feelers out, see who's up for some Splatoon at 21:00. Will want to add a few peeps in advance too.

If you don't play with motion controls you're playing at a disadvantage. They can take a little bit of getting used to at first but they are much more accurate so it's worth doing in the longrun.
