Some of the players in this game are really awful. Getting stuck on their team is really bad :(

It's almost like it's the first day the game's been out and the place is full of beginners.

Pretty much all Nintendo games are very accessible IMO. (You might find the aesthetic a bit weird though, it's all very Japanese.)

I was talking more for someone who doesn't play games at all. My girlfriend has enjoyed Mario Kart and I was hoping this could fun if the basic premise of the game is to paint everything rather than get kills.

Cross post

So I am

Craig - SW-4884-2480-8507

I have Splatoon 2 and fast rmx

Do you still have to mutually add friend codes? Cos that sounds like some 2009 nonsense.

No 1 person adds someone and the other just needs to accept. Sent you a friend request.

Tethered the Switch to my phone so let's see if I can have a cheeky online game while in work :shifty:

Quite. We haven't all graduated from the Wii U game, you know.

My girlfriend is in a similar position -- didn't play games before she met me ( :slol: ) but now enjoys stuff like Mario Kart and is slowly making her way through Zelda. She can play both Splatoon and ARMS and have fun, though she's hilariously bad at both.

You got her playing Katawa Shoujo yet?

I really like this but some of the restrictions around how you can play are just baffling. Locking the only mode where you can properly group up behind hitting a certain rank is remarkably stupid. And then there's the fact that each mode in ranked has a different rank and which one you play is whichever is currently in the rotation meaning the potential time investment required to simply unlock the ability to play with friends is increased even more. strawberry floating Nintendo.

I did show her Hatoful Boyfriend. I think she would probably find Katawa Shoujo pretty funny.

My long-term goal is to get her to play Deus Ex but I think she needs more training first.

I like painting the arenas, honestly like the rollers best and trying to sneak in where people haven't been/or have forgotten about.

I wonder if the game is an autistic persons nightmare :slol:

Even I have to get in all the corners.

I'm not sure how Qikz expected everyone to be good at the start.

That said I've been able to translate my experience with the Wii U game to a decent ratio of wins to losses so far. Only lost 2/3 matches and I've been top of the team more often than not. I expect that to change over the coming weeks as people get better and more familiar with the game.

I've enjoyed it more in handheld mode though. Found the sensitivity of the motion controls too much on full screen play. Gonna tweak the options for it at some point to see if I can make it better.
