Is there an invitation room I'm missing or something? Or do I just wait for someone to start playing again and join them through the friend menu?

This is about the least intuitive lobby system I have ever seen in an online game. It's like all the important people were busy polishing the rest of the game so they gave the lobby system to the intern who's never played an online game in his life.

How are you guys even starting games? Is there a room I need to be invited to or something to be in there at the beginning?

Now my right joycon is doing it as well

It just sucks the fun out of the game when you're worrying about your controls suddenly stopping, then when it actually does it just kills whatever fun you were managing to have. Sadly the joycons are really tainting my initial experience with Splatoon 2.

Think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and order a Pro Controller while my joycons are getting fixed.
