Not much of a duel, you must have splatted me more than 20 times! Thanks for playing, the two of us upholding the honour of GRcade. Not sure why I'm so much worse at this than the first game. I used to be a 1000 points a match guy, and now I'm only racking up 600-800 a match.

I was planning on joing, but I didn't get the youngest to sleep until nearly 10.

You could travel anywhere by sneaking onto planes. You could be the perfect spy, you could hear trade secrets, infiltrate governments and make a ton of money by doing so.

It all depends on how strong the powers are. You could have really shitty invisibility where only your actual body is invisible and not what you touch, but you could also have really shitty flight where you're still not very strong and you're so slow that you'd immediately be shot out of the sky or some gooseberry fool.

Far too much extra gooseberry fool needed for flight to be fun.

On the surface invisibility is the cooler power.

But! Assuming standard superhero flight - e.g. it's fairly quick and doesn't take a lot of effort - I feel like it's more practically useful than invisibility. You can zip about wherever you want and it's fast and free, that's pretty cool and convinient! Invisibility on the other hand doesn't have an awful lot of actual uses unless you're doing something shady like stealing stuff or stalking someone.

For standard superhero flight to be fun you'd also need stuff like a high tolerance for cold temperatures and stronger g-forces, and less reliance on oxygen for flying at higher altitudes. How much energy would all that flying around expend? How many calories would you need to eat per day because of it? So many questions.

But if you have the power of invisibility, would your clothes become invisible too? Unless all the clothes you wear share the same power, the power would become useless as they would still be seen unless you went everywhere naked.

I don't think it's fair to factor in the energy of flying when the energy required to bend light around you would be immeasurable. You might say it's a special property of your skin, chameleon-style, but that isn't true invisibility (a giant human-sized chameleon wandering around would be really obvious).

You have a point with cold / low-oxygen tolerance though. As long as you stayed below the clouds I think you'd just need to wrap up warm and not go too fast. It could still be fun and useful.

Also, if you wanted to do the vigilante thing, flying to the scene of the crime and swooping down to help people is cool, whereas wandering around town at night invisible (and possibly naked) to keep an eye on people is creepy.

Oh boy, connection errors are back.

For those interested, once you get banned once, it's immediate every time, no more warnings.

On the plus side, I'm getting very good at the squid beats game in the plaza.

But I just wanna play Rainmaker...

Yeah there's a singleplayer but I don't think it's exceptionally long or anything, it's really good though from what I've played so far. If you have a Wii U there's a demo of the first game if you want to get a feel of what this one is like.

Good to know, might pick this up when it's cheap at a later date.

Don't really plan on playing online when I get a Switch.
