Some pretty good games tonight, guys, and a couple really intense showdowns with Hypes. Hope to see you next week!

Life got in the way last night and I wasn't around to join the splatting. Pretty annoying as I'd hugely enjoyed our games last Wednesday and at the weekend event. I plan on joining the action next time .

Yeah, some great games Earfolds, even the ones with the Blue Woomy. Particularly enjoyed schooling the level 40s

Hey, Splatters. I've setup an official - OFFICIAL! - Splat Wednesday thread to try and boost awareness of the session. This falls in line with the threads created for Mario Kart Monday and Rocket League Tuesday and it enables us to push the event a bit more .

it seems the big update is due to go live tomorrow, with 100 pieces of gear, four weapons and camp triggerfish

I know this is an old post, but it doesn't take too long to unlock gear ability slots, and I don't recall it making a big difference to my success, skill and strateg is way more important. You can also buy gear with 3 slots, and since you earn cash even if you lose, it's hard not to eventually get them.

Having said that I played splat 1 for maybe hundred hours until there the was virtually no gear left to buy.

Maybe the game was better when the gameplay was totally new and there were mostly noobs. it's also important to paint area to charge up your special to activate the abilities you're talking about (bomb rush) and you can equip gear that makes your special fill faster. You can also use gear attributes that use less ink so that you fan fire an extra bomb or two without even activating special.
