Yeah, I want to see meaty single player content, i also want Salmon Run to be available 24/7 and not at specific times.

Bring back all the old maps as well as the old ones, increase the map rotation to 4 at a time.

4 maps at a time sounds lovely. I'd also want a way to access all the maps offline in some way. Not a turf war against bots, but more time trial type games. Get all the checkpoints, shoot all the balloons... that sort of stuff. Just gives something a bit extra for the solo player and provides a great way to learn the maps without (too much) stress.

Yes! I would take bots at the very least, be good to try the maps and different game modes as well

I won't see the Direct until later but I'm looking forward to checking it out. The previews gave me the impression that the game is a bit duller - in terms of colouring - from the previous entries in the series... I hope it's still gonna be bold and vibrant for the most part!

I love the idea of having your own apartment that you can decorate, too - I hope this comes to fruition.

Ooh hoo. Excellent. We got a pre-release Splatfest at the end of the month! And this time there's three options to pick from!

So, which is best? Rock, Paper, Scissors! You decide.

That was a great Direct. Some really neat quality of life additions and a bit more personalisation are always good.

It was good, it doesn’t look too much different over Splatoon 2 though? Also, only 2 years of free updates again. Paid DLC which will likely be another single player challenge thing.

It was a good direct and I’m still looking forward to it but it doesn’t feel too different from the last game.

The game looks great and will surely be as addictiv was ever. It's going to be iterative, like 2 was (presumably, as I haven't played the original, though just picked it up for £6).

I think at this point I'd be fine paying £40 for splatfests, new Salmon Run, and new maps and weapons.

I hope they being as many maps over from the first two game though. Am I right in thinking some never made the jump over from Splatoon 1?

Deep Cut are no Off the Hook as well...

Salmon Run sounds like it’s only certain times again as well

Well where to begin?
New katana weapon looks great
The reef rider special weapon looks amazing
Very nice to see mahi mahi resort and they’ll be adding flounder heights
Curious about that pyramid themed stage
New boss salmonids look fun to fight
Single player looks as good as ever
Like the new shopkeepers
Lockers will be interesting to do
Not sure I’ll bother with the card game
It’ll be nice to freely explore stages outside of battle
I know I’ll end up getting the dlc
Small fry amiibo looks awesome gonna have to have it
Not sure about three way splatfests. The second half of it sounds brutal if you’re on a losing team. Half of them are against four and the other half are against six, that sounds like it’ll just make it easier for the winners to win
Still I guess that’s what the early one is for. Guess I’ll go with paper cause of art
Not liking the new band

Looks as fab as ever but I really wanted to know a bit more about the single player stuff. I was a bit mixed on the Octo Expansion. The final act was amazeballs but the stuff before was a little hit and miss for me. Hope Salmon Run is open all the time and for the love of god let me skip the news cast! Also plz more then 2 maps in rotation. At this point I might genuinely skip the whole thing if its still just 2. Probably wont be picking it up for a while anyway.

No new ranked modes?

Clam Blitz was added after 2 released I guess, but still disappointing.

I wonder if they’ll add more modes in the paid DLC? Keep the freebies to maps, weapons and clothes.

I watched the Direct and I liked it
The taste of that Deep Cut chapstick
I watched the Direct just to try it
I hope my wallet don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm pre-ordering tonight
I watched the Direct and I liked it
I liked it

You must have missed it but

- Salmon run is available at all times (it's just the special "Big Run" event that is time limited)
- The news cast is skippable, you can have it play as text messages in the top corner of the screen while you go about the hub doing things

Honestly salmon run being available at all times and being able to easily join/queue with friends are both game changing, this is set up to easily be the best in the series!
