Yeah but who'd drop out?

Ennis, I'd put nearly all of them above her. Amazing what she did but she was in the top 3 because she's pretty

Wiggo deserved it purely for the Tour. Something no British Man has ever achieved in the sport.

Personally I couldn't vote for anyone but Mo Farrah, but these contests are always very bizarre.

Thank God for this award! If there's one thing athletes need more of it's ego-massaging adulation for obsessively doing a small selection of movements.

Overall a good choice:

Wiggo winning the TDF and Olympic gold in quick succession.
Ennis the poster girl of the games getting gold.
Murray winning Wimb.......... wot.

Murray really should have come 2nd. He achieved more than Ennis this year.

Plain and simple.

And Mo should have definitely come 3rd for winning two variations of long distance running.

People don't apply logic in things like this though. She's a pretty girl, and is very popular. That trumps sporting achievement.

How did Murray achieve more than Ennis?

McIlory achieved more than the lot of them but he was never in with a shout.
