As it's published by Activision there was always going to be some kind of bullshit, but was hoping it wasn't going to be something this shitty.
What would've been a definite purchase is probably now a 'go back and play the old games on an emulator job'.

Ah well, it'll all be like this soon enough.

Do you guys no think you are slightly over reacting.

The game has been overhauled it is going to be way way bigger so this isn't really surprising I mean they could have done a disk 1 disk 2 thing maybe but if it downloads a heap who gives a gooseberry fool.

They could fit the trilogy on two discs probably - Guessing they'll be a "deluxe" edition in a few months will all the games on disc.

Already own and really enjoyed the games digitally on PSP/Vita. Half of why I want to buy this is to own the games physically tbh.

Not putting these retro reboots in PS1 cases seems to be a missed money making opportunity. They did it with Rise of the Tomb Raider for press/social media but then never released it.

Looking on eBay custom made versions of PS1 cases for current games is a money spinner.

Yeah they really should have done it, maybe as part of a collectors edition.

Pretty much although they then play the game too.

Next gen better use Ultra-HD Blu-ray by default then.

If you do still want to buy the disc version, GAME are offering it up with a keyring, PS4 theme & art cards for £30: https://www.game.co.uk/en/spyro-reignit ... me-2326855

Unless games 2 and 3 are currently unfinished, but they need to go to the printers now. So rather than delay the game into October, they’ve opted to print the 1st game and are currently finishing off the rest of it (and hopefully have it finished...but then even if it isn’t, they can always keep patching it like so many other broken games at launch).

Just realised from reading that GAME link that 2 is called Ripto's Rage in the remaster, not gateway to glimmer :(

Gateway to Glimmer is far and away the better name

Yeah, the "Ripto's Rage" moniker just mirrors Kirby's facial expression changes and Strider artwork. We need things to be angry  .

Wouldn't be surprised if Activision patch that in later and you can change the name in the options (or it just changes automatically depending on region).

The launch has been delayed from 21 September to 13 November.

I'm increasingly cautious about this remake; I'll be awaiting reviews before laying out any money. I do want it to be excellent.

Well... At least it won't be eating into my Horizon time. But at the same time that's near the Let's Go! games.

After the backlash, Activision went to fetch some more gaffer tape and cling film.
