Ok, so I'm back.

Did we get a Fleet set up in the end? Can I get an invite? Pretty please?

Well, I'm almost at L50. I think I'll buy some foundry slots with my pile of dilithium, I have some ideas for missions and need to develop them a bit, will certainly add some longevity to the game.

I've notice that there are 2 days a week where you get extra stuff for doing the STFs, shall we set a regular day for doing them?

Sure, I'm game. I'm also pretty up to scratch with STF strats so we could learn them on normal before going for elite?

Might have to hold off this week - still need to hit 50, then gear up with Mark XI's etc.

Well, as long as we do normal it doesn't matter too much?

So then: Boldly They Rode.

Not terrible. The outside stuff went on a bit too long, but was a nice change of pace. Solo fighting was a change of pace and made me think.

Final fleet battle wasn't great - too much of a massive mess, and I seemed to get 1 shotted by the dreadnaughts really easily. They just picked me out of the crowd.

Still was awesome when The Enterprise showed up.

So for free episodes can't really complain. Didn't add too much to the story or have any really memorably moments as a series though (other than the initial "flee DS9" escape).

Wouldn't necessarily make me think "Must pay for this MMO!"

However I do love my purple engines/nacelles. But I don't get the nacelles in combat as I switch to my much better MACO shields :(

Advanced Odyssey Cruisers coming this week. Refits and upgraded from the free ship earlier - comes in Tact, Eng and Sci variations

2000points each or 4000 for all 3 varients (and their specific consoles)

Sort of tempted

It was an enjoyable romp while it lasted but I stopped playing this the second I hit level 50 as the end game stuff looked very grindy. I had plenty of story content left (I did about two missions of the romulan episode) but I've never really watched Star Trek so I guess the lore is all lost on me. Hopefully people are buying lots of stuff with real money because I'm a terrible freeloader and didn't spend anything

4000 seems way to much especially as its the consoles that are important think they need to sort the pricing out a bit

This sounds like me almost exactly. I do want to do the story missions though.

I really enjoyed it. To me, it showed how varied the game can be, seeing as you go from Spacewalking across Deep Space 9's Outer Hull to solo fighting, to getting in a massive space battle with The Enterprise.

Well, either Wednesday/Thursday nights, after 10pm to give the CSS guys a chance to join, playing the STF of the week at the very least?

If we're doing STFs I'd gladly take an evening out of CSS to do it, I really can't be on later than 10 during the week. Also regarding longevity etc, I'd recommend picking up some foundry slots and getting into the mission creator - I may keep playing just to make stuff in that more than anything else.

Does anyone know why, after the latest patch, my game looks like this?

The Legacy of Romulus expansion went live today. You can now play as a Romulan (a new third faction).
