I'm on board! I really hope the Neo is brilliant so I can want one and then buy one and feel really great.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Not sure what I would pay for a day one purchase though. If in some out of nowhere magicianry that made current PS4 games 1080p, 60fps that'll be a 'shutup and take my money' but since that isn't feasible I'm on the fence.

They will announce they will be at E3 as usual and end the show.

The entire thing will last less than a minute.

I hope they announce the Neo and that it's released in October for £350 with the slim being £200.
They will showcase games for the Neo and explain why they think it's worthwhile.

The worst case scenario is some out of nowhere magicianry that made current PS4 games 4K at around 25fps. MOAR PIXELS PLS

I'm only really bothered about the games.

A slightly better performing console just doesn't excite me, I'll be more interested in a couple of years for PS5.

Copied from the other thread

I'd forgotten too because Sony haven't uttered a word. Like at all. Where are they?. Who are these people & what are they doing?.

Can't see a lot of hype for it if they announce the conference tomorrow, I think they've left it a bit late.

Things we'll see (predictions)

Andrew House will be in the house along with Mark Cerny.
Slim announcement & release date.
PS4 firmware 4.0 or whatever it is.
A bit of virtual really & possible mobile drivel.
Neo revealed & show games in full shiny glorious neo mode whilst running side by side with your bog standard cheap nasty crusty looking peasant graphics on your standard PS4.

I'm putting all my money on "Neo will have more backwards compatibility than PS4"

I reckon Neo will have a rather muted release. I suppose Sony don't want consumers to get the impression that it's a brand new console. They'll pitch it more as "an exciting new way to engage with the PS4 story", or some kind of bollocks like that.

:dread:

That's quite a hike from £349.99! Sony have said it won't be sold at a loss though and assuming it's got a proper UHD BluRay player, I agree it's likely to be a bit pricey. UHD BluRay players seem to start at around £300.

I'm going to guess £424.99

Are we playing by The Price Is Right rules?

My guess is anywhere between £0-150 of PS4's launch price.

For £600 I expect a generational leap.

Xbox One S has a UHD BluRay player in it and can be got for £249.99 with a game.

The £599 price is assuming the Neo has 4k gaming capabilities.

There is also chatter that Sony will be unveiling a successor to the Vita :o

Also a redesigned, slimmer PS4 :slol:

They want to speak to Nintendo, who managed that beautifully with the Wii U.
