The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

The first season of Andor is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on September 21, 2022, with the first three of its twelve episodes. The rest of the episodes will be released weekly through November 23. A second twelve-episode season is in development, which will conclude the series and lead into the events of Rogue One.

I have seen some really positive stuff about this series. Really looking forward to it tbh.

Will this be the Disney SW show to finally get things right ...

First three episodes of this are available now.

A slow-burn opening across these three episodes that manages to keep the interest with tension and intrigue. The flashbacks compliment each other in showing the begiinings of new phases of his life. The past and the present mirroring each other with a fateful incident and escape with the help of others. To put it in a non-spoilery way.
I'm ready for more.

Watched the first episode, that was pretty awesome to start! Will watch more later.

Yup. One a week now.

Just watched episode 2 and it was still a good episode, hasn’t really kicked up a gear yet but with 10 episodes left I imagine it’ll be a couple more before it really gets going.

Edit, feels like it is indeed ramping up in episode 3!

Edit 2, episode 3 was brilliant.

Enjoyed the three episodes that have been released so far and looking forward to seeing more. It's not perfect, but for me it's a significant improvement in quality as far as live-action Disney+ Star Wars shows go, which so far I've thought ranged from mediocre (The Mandalorian) to risible (The Book of Boba Fett).
I notice Dave Filoni seems to have had nothing to do with this show. Maybe Disney should have him stick to animated stuff.

I really enjoyed todays episode. The covert meeting with Mon Mothma was really well done and I hope the next episode has her in the dinner party, it could get quite spicy.

The spy / covert stuff is a nice change of pace compared to all the other movies / series.

Episode 4 is fantastic. Loving this so far.

Who knew that all I wanted from Star Wars TV was Imperial Bureaucracy. Loved those scenes. :lol:

And Skarsgard has been great so far.

I think this is easily the best Star Wars content since the Disney aquisition.

I'm thinking the same.

Mandalorian has it's moments, but this has been consistently great from the start.
My only hesitation about it, is when Saw Guerrera (Or however you spell it, Forest Whitaker) is gonna show up. I really didn't like his performance in Rogue One. He played him a bit too weird for my taste.
Hopefully he's just going to be a brief appearance.

I'm loving the stuff with Mon Mothma, and the Imperial Bureacracy.

Also, am I right in saying we've not seen a single Stormtrooper yet? It's all been corpo-security and generic Imperials so far.

Nope. Not a single stormtrooper. And I doubt we'll be seeing any next week.

It's been a great series so far, putting the character interactions first. It's not rushing through anything, conveying the emotions felt by all involved.

This show demonstrates how amazingly affective the judicious use [the appearance of a single TIE fighter] of OT elements can still be. Other Star Wars creators please take note.

Apparently this has a bunch of people that worked on Chernobyl too so I guess that explains why it's so good.
