Think that's meant to be Republic then Rebels, isn't it? Since the Empire would already control the galaxy.

Damn, that trailer makes these battles look so epic! And they fit some classic quotes from the games in there. But it's a whole 'nother week before release! Can't wait to get absolutely stomped in 64 player online.

No crossplay is a bummer, but given I'll eventually get this on PC I assume it won't be an issue haha

I had no plans to get this at launch, but I’m sorely tempted, really need to play KOTOR 2 first though :lol:

At the moment it has an assessment of 79 on PC and 83 on PS5; only around five reviews so far, though.

I've not seen anything highly critical, the handful of reviews on metacritc are all positive

The only thing people are critical of from what I've seen is the online. Which... yeah. It's a mess.

And it seems the level of censorship for names is insane. Can't even have a simple name such as Cassie.

What's the summary of the online at the moment? Think it likely to be launch issues that'll get ironed out?

From what I'm seeing, there's a lot of lag when it comes to matches. More so on the second game than the first. And apparently some issues with the server browser. Whether it does get sorted... this is Aspyr we're talking about. It very much should, but whether it does is a different matter.

I admire Aspyr for porting so many Star Wars games over to modern platforms, but they don’t seem like the best ones for the job really, quite a few of their ports have issues at launch really. No idea if they’re still doing the KOTOR remake or not.

What platform is everyone buying this on? Think I might wait for the issues to be ironed out before getting this, or waiting for the almost inevitable May the 4th sale which might include this. Seen that some of the 501st cutscenes are missing from Battlefront 2 story mode? Which isn’t great really :lol:

They were kicked off the remake ages ago.

A bit more I've seen around, there's apparently a patch that seems to have caused issues, and potentially multiple versions of that patch being distributed. No idea how true that is, but most of the general issues such as audio bugs and missing cutscenes seems to either be a thing or not.

I thought they were kicked off it, but then with them being sold off, I wasn’t sure what the future was. I’d rather not edge my chances with whether the cutscenes are there or not really, will probably wait till it’s patched up!

Yeah, I think if you don't care about playing online... avoid. That's not to say they're bad, but the more I play, the more wrong I'm seeing. Such as, when using a sniper on Battlefront 2 and zooming in, a transparent black box appearing around the outside of the scoped view. Or how the cutscenes in Battlefront 1 have some sort of weird effect whenever it changes shot. And so much other stuff.

Seeing a few more of the cutscenes in Battlefront 1, it looks like artifacts from the AI upscaling, as it also happens in fast-moving action such as the Geonosis battle.

Just won my first galactic conquest as the rebellion!

It's a rough remaster of a fantastic game. Really enjoying it, but there's so much that could be better. There's the overlay rula mentioned on the scope, the badly scaled videos, and the map UI is somehow less readable than in SD. I just got a trophy pop incorrectly too, so it's certainly not bug free.

It's still proper Battlefront though!
